Ang balat ng palumpong na ito ay ginagamit upang gamutin ang hika, ubo, at iba pang mga karamdaman sa paghinga.

Ang TIBIG ay isang halamang gamot sa pamilyang Moraceae na matatagpuan sa mga kasukalan at kakahuyan sa mababa at katamtamang taas nito.
