Delighted and grateful to witness the beauty of Big Lagoon in El Nido Palawan! Dati sa pictures and videos ko lang nakikita and finally nakapag kayak ako don with my cousin!

This is the part 2 of our Palawan trip and we went to TOUR A!! We kayaked at the Big Lagoon, swam to the secreet lagoon, had lunch at shimizu island, snorkeled at payong payong beach and capping the day with halo-halo at seven commando beach! What an experience!

Where to eat in Baguio???

Kung nagbabalak kayong mag Baguio this summer to satisfy your cravings, complete your trip to the summer capital of the Philippines and dine in the famous and delicious restaurant, Grumpy Joe.

Grumpy Joe is a famous Italian-American restaurant in Baguio that started operating Back in March 2014 and meron silang dalawang branches na mabiles lang puntahan,

📍15 Gibraltar Rd, Baguio, 2600 Benguet near Wright Park and Mine’s View

📍Upper Session Road near Panagbenga Park and Victory Liner Inc. Baguio

If you are traveling with a car, you can easily spot them in maps and if mag commute naman kayo, just ride a taxi quasi alam ng mga drivers yung mga locations nila. Wag kayoing mag-alala sa taxi fare kasi mura lang ang taxi sa Baguio.

We dined in Upper Session Road kasi nanggaling kami sa Botanical Garden (just 10 minutes taxi away) and we planned going to SM Baguio after kung saan malapit lang ito and pwedeng lakarin. To summarize our experience it was 10/10 and here are the reasons why:

Place

Aside from being located in Baguio with the nice weather and in the mountain surrounded by trees, the restaurant itself is very dreamy because of its modern and rustic design. They have a mini alfresco area shaded by a big tree, bordering by greeneries and breezy where we chose to enjoy our food.

Price

Is it budget friendly? I think this depends on your budget trip going to Baguio. As for me, it is. I think the prices are budget-friendly and reasonable for the amount of serving at kalidad ng pakain.

Food

I had high expectations kasi nagresearch muna talaga ako and even listed down what we will order before pa kami napadpad sa Baguio lol. Did it meet my expectations? NAMAN! This was my pre-birthday lunch treat to my fam and ako rin ang nagplano ng trip. As someone that likes to plan and set on a budget when going on a trip, I set on 2000 pesos budget for 5 people and here are what we ordered:

🍴12” 5 Cheese Pizza (595)
This is their most famous pizza. I am not sure which 5 cheeses they used pero wag na wag niyong i-skip to if first time niyo sa Grumpy Joe. Cheesy, creamy, delicious, napakasarap, panalong panalo legit! OA sa descriptions pero ang sarap talaga pwamis! Their pizzas have 3 sizes, 9”, 12” and 16”.

🍴Lasagna (305)
Of all the dishes we ordered ito yung triny ko lang and di ko na binalikan but does not mean na hindi masarap. It was actually tasty and di ko lang quasi alam paano idescribe kasi hindi ako masyadong nakakain ng lasagna. LOL! But still masarap siya guys!

🍴Garlic Shrimp Pasta (310)
Ang masasabi ko lang guys for this one, try niyo ito! SARAP! Mejo spicy siya and hindi tinipid sa seafood.

🍴Dip and Nachos (255)
Yung nachos nila guys hindi ordinary. Ibang lasa, lasang imported. di ko lang sure yung imported pero parang ganon. You can taste the corn in it. Ordered this for “kinam-kinam” as we call it in hiligaynon meaning to taste or to eat.

🍴Honey Garlic Chicken Platter (440)
Solid rin ito. Sweet and Spicy in a way na hindi nakakaumay. Crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. Mas masarap siguro ito if may beer na kasama.

🍴Breaded Parm Chicken Breast ( 282.05 after senior discount.) Forgot the regular price for this one and accidental order ito for some reason. Lol! If you are looking for protein pero nasa cheat day ka, you have to get this. The chicken was tender and filled with creamy cheese inside. Solid siya na accidental order.

Our total bill was 2,143.94 pesos, we exceeded a little sa sinet kong budget because of the accidental order pero okay lang kasi I saw my family enjoying the food and so did I!

I hope this helps when you visit Baguio!

The King of the Cripy Chicken ~ Crispy King

First time ko ma try to and ang sarap ng manok nila guys! Juicy, crispy at napakatender ng manok. Sa halagang 45 pesos isang manok, sulit na sulit na!

They are only available in select provinces in Visatas according to google. Sayang wala niyo sa Metro Manila or Negros Occidental.

“Deliciously Kuripot” is what this place is all about. They offer the best brick oven pizza in Dumaguete at syempre sikat sila dun! Super delicious yet very affordable! They have the kuripot versions of their pizza pero di pa rin tinipid sa sarap! We ordered the pepperoni and chicken primavera pizzas (not the kuripot version) and mapapapikit kayo pay natikman niyo na guys! Personal fave is the chicken primavera at bumili ako nito uli on may last night sa Dumaguete pero yung kuripot version na. The crust is different from other famous pizza chains we already knew because their’s is toasted and has this smokey flavor. Iba pala talaga pag sa brick-oven niluluto yung pizza. Yung chicken para hindi naming binili sa kanila, dala lang namin yun. HEHE

The place has a very straightforward ambiance. Sa labas para lang siyang bahay then sa pagpasok mo sa may mga maliliit na mesa at upaan at dun rin yung brick oven nila. Tapos sa taas yung aircon area na nila. Sobrang decent ng place and the staff are very accommodating!

Overall, it was a great experience. Being a local favorite, Neva’s pizza is THE standard for all the pizza in Dumaguete.

Mas matanda pa sa akin tong kainan na guys, since when I was a kid, this place exists. It is a classic!

Great place for family gatherings! Wag kayong mag-alala if marami kayo because they will arrange a long table for you! hehe!

Good food! Chicken inasal is chicken inasal ya'll. Affordable too! They also have a mini bakery inside and try niyo rin! 😉

Near Silay City Airport.

Dine with them when you visit Silay City, Negros Occidental! 💕

📍Sansrival Bistro Dumaguete City

There was not a day I skipped to dine in Sansrival Bistro on my 1 week stay at Dumaguete. I am in love! 💙💙💙

✅Sobrang sarap ng pagkaen guys! Believe it or not, sobrang affordable ng food for a fine dining experience. Marami silang klase ng pagkain; italian, american, european, mid eastern etc. basta maraming pagpipilian guys! haha! I swear with the quality and yung servings nila, once na makita niyo bill niyo magugulat talaga kayo dahil mura talaga! 🤤

✅I love the place! Very nice interior and exterior! Perfect for your good pics! Ganda ng vibes because they played jazz and Christmas musics during my visits. Malamig rin friends. Hahaha as in malamig! Kung ayaw niyo manigas sa lamig pwede kayo sa may labas na overlooking yung dagat 🙂 Ganda din kasi may christmas tree nung pagpunta ko. hehe. Tip: Perfect timing lang guys kasi super crowded pag rush hour. Mejo di niyo maappreciaye yung place kasi busy yung resto. 😉

✅Staff are very friendly and nice! Actually people in Dumaguete are! The City of Gentle People, indeed!

✅Near Dumaguete Boulervard. Pag super busog na kayo pwede kayong maglalakad dito. Kaharap lang actually. hehe. They also have a branch sa Rob Duma but i suggest dito kayo sa main kumain if you visit Dumaguete 😉

✅Sarap ng desserts!! Try niyo na lahat dahil super affordable talaga per slice.

✅Don't skip the hot chocolate! 😘

✅Chill bar sa labas para sa gusto ng alak. hehe

Planning your next solo trip to Dumaguete? The Flying Fish Hostel is ready to give nomadic comfort for you! 😉

Stayed here for days and it was an awesome experience!

✅Very affordable! I chose to stay in a dormitory room shared for 6 people for only 600 pesos per head a night! This is the cheapest I can book for lodging in Dumaguete that is high quality! However there was not much privacy in the dorm room, security is assured naman! Lockers were provided for each!

✅Very clean place! Clean rooms! No complaints at all. Ang lakas din ng Aircon, maninigas kayo sa lamig! hehe I also used the common CR but they always made sure na malinis and sanitized! Sa isang araw ilang beses ko nakita sina ate chinicheck and nililinis yung CRs and showers! hehe Kudos to them! They also provide shower gels and tissues! Plus points para sa malalakas at matitibay na bidets! 😂

✅Perfect for plantitos and plantitas! Maraming plants sa paligid na nakakarelax and nakakarefresh ng soul! Yes, SOUL talaga. 😂😂

✅Restaurants are nearby. Although mejo pricey yung mga malalapit na kainan dito but Dumaguete is actually very affordable! Quality for the food is superb!

✅You'll get to meet new people here!! I was able to chat with some na naging roommates ko for a night or 2.

Mejo malayo lang ang hostel na to sa parang main ng Dumaguete pero pwede ka naman pumara ng pedicabs (ang tawag nila sa trike) anytime. Walang taxis sa Duma and kahit mag grab kayo, pedicab pa rin ang susundo. Hehe!

If ever I visit Dumaguete again, I will still consider staying at Flying Fish!

This is one of the best Samgyupsalan I've been to!

From side dishes to its meats! Plakado! OA ba kung OA pero super sulit talaga dito guys!

✅Meats are very tender and flavorful. Hindi nakakasawa yung meat nila. Hindi malansa, walang amoy, super sarap! Nakadami kaming hingi ng meat during our visit!

✅Side dishes are superb! Hindi mediocre ang lasa guys, panalo talaga! Some samgyupsalan will offer side dishes for the sake of having side dishes but aa Premier Samgyupsal, premier talaga ang lasa guys.

✅Unli steamed egg! Ibahin niyo ang steam egg nila compare to other samgyupsalan guys! Super sarap! hehe

✅Yung location nila mejo tago lang and mejo mahirap hanapin but super spacious naman and malinis.

✅Staff are very friendly!

✅QUALITY talaga yung pagkaen guys!

This is my new favorite Samgyupsalan! 💕💕💕

If namimiss niyo mag samgyupsal, you might want to check and dine in Mr Korea Unlimited BBQ located at Glorietta 3 Makati.

✅Tunay na masarap ang kanilang samgyupsal. They offer variety of flavor ng meat from pork. beef and chicken. Fave ko is yun may enoki mushroom. Ilang beses namin yata ito nirequest. They also have plenty side dishes that you can enjoy. Included na rin sa babayaran niyo ang unlimited drinks nila na blur lemonade, iced tea and cucumber lemonade.

✅The place is very decent and clean. Hindi siya masikip and you'll have enogh space to enjoy your sumgyupsal. Nung pumunta kami is lunch time and weekday so wala masyadong tao. Well ventilated yung place and hindi kumakalat yung usok hahah. Hindi naman kami lumabas ng place na may usok. 😂

✅Staff are very accomodating. Dalawa lang sila that day and I can't remember their names pero they deserve a raise Mr Korea BBQ. 😂 Inaasikaso talaga kami and very friendly kagit ilang beses kami mag request ng pa refill na ganito ganyan. Good job sa kanila!

Overall experience was great! I love it here! If nagpaplano mayi mag samgyupsal soon, you might want to consider them as your samgyupsalan.

✅Perfect for bonding sesh with your fam, friends at jowa.

✅The place is very nice and staff are very accommodating. Literal na kayo talaga magbbake ng cake/pastry of choice niyo from scratch. They will orient you first on how everything works and the stations. After that magpo-provide sila ng tablet for you to start.

✅The price range here is 500-2000 pesos depending on the product you want to create. If it's too pricey, pwede kayong magshare at a max of people per product na ib-bake niyo. Syempre as , nakihati ako sa friend ko. HAHA Sulit na rin kasi the baking time usually lasts for 2 hours and not bad for the experience.

✅Just make sure to follow the instructions well para hindi masayang yung binayad niyo. Nakadepende sa inyo ang magiging lasa ng product niyo guys ha. Since we followed the instructions very well, masarap ang kinalabasan ng cake namin! 🤣

✅I am not sure if they have reservations pero walk-in lang kami that day. Peak hours usually starts at 3pm onwards 🙂
