The store is compact enough not to overwhelm, and big enough to feature the best variety. We have relied on this for skin emergencies, as well as scalpcare. A must-discover when you go to Mitsukoshi BGC. Maxwell’s Angelique shaver is the best we’ve tried for our brows. We used to buy this in Hong Kong, but now it’s here! We like how it is able to shape our brows better and faster. K-Palette needs no introduction. Its Real Lasting Eyebrow is a testament to Japanese brands’ commitment to making truly groundbreaking products that become holy grails. This iconic brow pen has reformulated just a few times since it launched, and will always be something we keep going back to. #Kobako is a famous beauty tools brand in Japan. Every product we’ve tried from Kobako just makes us believe. Take for instance the eyelash curler–the lightest, handiest one that truly does the job. Just wanted to take this moment to share our appreciation for one of our favorite blush palettes ever! We created this set through @grwmcosmetics’ Quad Goals. Perfect for those who use multiple blush shades at a time (so maybe all of us?!). Pigmented, blendable, long-lasting, it’s as good as our Pat McGraths (can’t believe it too!). Each quad is just P299. Of course, the selection goes beyond 10 shades of blushes—the line also has highlighters and bronzers. The combinations are endless!

We love that this favorite MFK is available in hand and body wash, soap, and lotion ancillaries @rustansthebeautysource ✨ Aqua Media is a sparkling, citrus, aromatic green scent–fresh and electric with bergamot and verbena, and botanical with sweet fennel, green moss, aniseed, a base of woody musks, a hint of patchouli, and matcha tea somewhere, a whiff reminscent of a green tea perfume we’ve known for years. This is “the embodiment of balance and harmony,” according to MFK. “This eau de parfum opens a window to an infinite, boundlessly fresh, idyllic landscape, where the wind in the wildgrass seems to engage in a dialog with the murmuring of serene white-water.” We say it’s Aqua Media is true to its references. Similar to the rest in the Cologne Forte line, Aqua Media is impressive for its longevity and complexity. 🍵

There are many physical features that most Filipinos share, from our kayumanggi skin (brown skin) to our dark hair, but perhaps none as prominent and popular as our distinctly flat noses. “Tayo’y mga Pinoy, tayo’y hindi ‘Kano; ‘wag kang mahihiya kung ang ilong mo ay pango,” is a sentiment iconicized by Filipino folk rock superstar Heber Bartolome in the ’70s, sampled and remade by other musical legends like Francis Magalona, Freddie Aguilar, Aegis, and Ely Buendia. We look at the Filipino nose, hear from fellow Filipinos who have undergone procedures to enhance their noses, talk to certified surgeons in the art and science of enhancing noses in this story by Monique Buensalido. In this edition of The Editor’s Room at @lookatme_ph featuring @hudabeauty, we gathered for a Peach versus Pink masterclass and learned color correction tips and tricks from the pros themselves. ✨ The star of the show was Huda Beauty’s peach and pink color correctors. Huda Beauty Philippines brand manager Christine Felix and senior product executive Iryna Llamas introduced the Easy Bake Loose Powder and Easy Bake Pressed Powder in a universally flattering Peach Pie shade and the all-new #FauxFilter Color Corrector in Cherry Blossom. The Beauty Edit guest host, beauty creator and makeup fanatic @iampatcortez and makeup artist Jorence De Limos shared their expert “hacks” and how they make the correctors work for them. We learned how these peaches and pinks can target specific concerns: peach for dark circles and pigmentation and pink to brighten the under-eye area. Guests got their hands on these Huda Beauty essentials and tried them on themselves (and even on each other!) to test and see how the products can improve the way they put on makeup. We recently brought together some fragrance fanatics from our community to discover the newest from @narciso_rodriguez—Musc Nude For Her and Vetiver Musc For Him. A name known to many perfume aficionados, the brand is known for perfumes with a single dominant note complemented by a unique combination of other scents, using the highest quality ingredients. There’s only a handful in its lineup, which we appreciate because it makes finding The One easy and not overwhelming. Our The One has always been Santal 33—the only bottle we have in full size—and was a blind buy and an acquired taste for us. The rest in our collection include travel sizes of Rose 31 and Another 13. What we feel are truly worthwhile must-buys and perhaps great entry points to the brand if you’re just starting are the bath products! Don’t sleep on the Hinoki bath products—they smell great and linger for hours on the hair and body.
