๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐:
In general there are four main terms used to describe the key roles of a player on a team: Objective, Slayer, Support and Anchor. Now, not all of these roles or positions are required for each game type or mode but most players will fall into one of the above categories quite quickly.
The role names themselves, as with most things Call of Duty, are pretty self explanatory.
An Objective player focuses on the objective, whether thatโs carrying / planting a bomb, capturing the flag or going thought the score zone in blitz mode.
Slayers need no explanation and their sole goal is to kill and shoot anything that moves and cut off the enemy team.
Anchors are players that usually play hard point, domination or blitz mode and whose pretty much only job is to lock out the enemy players from their team's spawn area, to prevent the enemy team from scoring or preventing the original spawning point from being lost.
Support players usually play in tandem with the Objective player and support them. They fill in wherever they are needed, for example, when the objective player dies then the support player will become the new objective player until the player who has died can retake his position on the map. Likewise, if a support player is close to a slayer and that slayer dies then the support player will hold that spot as best he can until the slayer gets back to his position. Finally, if an anchor player gets picked off then the Support holds down their teams spawn area.
