Sounds easy enough, right? But how do you actually find the right accounts to engage with that will return the favor?😕

⮕ Look at relevant hashtags for your target market
(e.g. ) and find the posts that resonate with you, then start a conversation with your target market about the post.💭

⮕Follow influencers in your industry and interact with them. This is a great way to get in front of larger accounts in your industry and those who interact with their posts will see your comment!🙌

⮕Reply to your target market. This gets you directly in their DMs📩 (direct messages or inbox) to nurture your relationship.🤝

⮕And of course, engage with everyone who comments on your posts or sends you a direct message. You want to continue these conversations with people who took the time to interact with you! You never know what might come out of these relationships...👌

They run promotions on a whim, invest blindly into Facebook ads, and have no idea what their brand is—which leaves their audience just as confused!😧

If you work at your business like a hobby, it will always be that way. That's why I always encourage people to work with a business coach to get their business strategy sorted before they start working with me (or any marketing agency.) For any marketing activities, a business strategy is vital to have in place before you start your marketing.🤗

Your business may offer great products and services, but if your potential customers do not know that you exist, then you will not have sales. -How much effort should you put into creating content if no one is paying attention to what you’re saying? I live in the local hashtags, location tags, and similar “influencers” comment section so people know what I’m up to.

-It's great to have a large audience, but it's more important to have an engaged community that actually interacts with your posts and stories. The follower ratio is important, but you can tell more by someone’s direct messages than you can tell by their follower count. I may not have as many followers as some of the larger food accounts, but as a result of intentional direct message outreach and cultivation on my part, I continually have a "poppin" direct message thread that leads to more engaged discussion on my feed posts.

I want to tell you my story...

People tend to ask me two questions: How did I start my own business? And what am I doing nowadays?🤔

Well, I have to say that I'm working hard and doing what I love.💛

It's simple 👌 to think that you need a "how-to" guide for starting your business, but the truth is there isn't any one path. The most important thing is to give yourself permission to follow your own way, and stick with it!🤗

I remember feeling overwhelmed when I started my business. I was trying to find clients who needed a social media manager or a content creator without any success because I felt like no one was going to give me a chance. 😫
Now, I realized it wasn’t other people not giving me a chance; it was my fault for not allowing others to see the knowledge and experience I had to offer.

I am now managing 4 different clients' social media accounts and creating content for a diverse range of industries, in the process of launching an outsourcing partnership with a marketing agency, and getting connected to more small businesses looking to boost their social presence! 😊

And to think, I’ve only been working at this company for 7 months! I am just amazed and so proud to see how far I’ve come in this short amount of time. I hope to help more small businesses locally and remotely as I grow! 👆💯
