It’s not selfish; it’s about protecting yourself from harm. We all deserve to be happy, not trapped in situations that suffocate us or make it hard to breathe.

We must respect everyone’s decisions because we don’t know the whole story. It’s not our place to judge, as only they truly understand their circumstances. They know what’s best for themselves, even if others don’t fully comprehend their reasons.

Choosing your well-being over a harmful situation is an act of courage and self-respect. It’s a reminder that letting go is not about giving up; it’s about moving forward toward a healthier and happier life.

It took me a long time to realize that not everything in life is meant to be a beautiful story.
Not every person we feel something deep and moving with is meant to make a home within us, is meant to be a forever.

Sometimes, people come into our lives to teach us how to love and sometimes people come into our lives to teach us how not to love .
How not to settle, how not to shrink ourselves ever again.

Yes, sometimes people leave.. but that's okay,
because their lessons always stay, and that is what matters.
That is what remains..

Bashers are everywhere. There are always people who, seeing you in a better situation, will try to pull you down. Some do it out of envy, others out of insecurity, and some simply because they cannot stand to see others succeed. The key is to stay focused on your goals, surround yourself with positive influences, and never let their negativity dim your light. Remember, their criticism often says more about them than it does about you.

Just saw this old photo with my 2 daughters, Amanda and Patty.

True, there were times that I would love to just lie down and watch tv than to be a horse.

But I have placed in my heart, the quote:

Now that our kids have grown, by the Grace of God they never gave us headaches. Now I can say, it was all worth it. Zig Ziglar was right.

I completely agree, and it’s true that heartbreak often teaches us important lessons about love, resilience, and self-worth. Every relationship we go through, even the painful ones, shapes us into who we are and prepares us for the right person.

Letting go of someone you deeply care for is never easy, but sometimes it’s necessary to prioritize your own peace of mind, emotional well-being, and mental health. Love shouldn’t feel like a constant battle or compromise of your happiness. It should feel safe, fulfilling, and nurturing.

God has a way of redirecting us, even if it feels like a loss in the moment. Trust that walking away from what isn’t meant for you opens the door for something—or someone—better. Sometimes, the most important love story you’ll ever experience is the one you have with yourself.
