‘Third World Romance’ lands seven nominations at the 47th Gawad Urian, including Best Picture!

Lead stars Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon are also in the running for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively. Meanwhile, Dwein Baltazar received a nod for Best Director, as well as Best Screenplay alongside Jeko Aguado.

The film is also nominated for Best Music and Best Production Design courtesy of Eero Yves Francisco.

On May 1st, an impressive turnout of 250 biking enthusiasts answered First Bike Ride founder Buji Babiera’s invitation to celebrate the Filipino workforce by cruising through the bike-friendly streets of Quezon City with a Labor Day Ride! 🚴

What was planned for only 75 cyclists, the holiday affair expanded as various biking communities rolled up at the acclaimed Magdamag Market Café at South Triangle.

The rideout, in tandem with the Esteban Cycling Community, not only promoted bicycles as a sustainable and healthy mode of transport but also served as a call for additional cycle-safe lanes and ultimately, a greener environment for all.

Embracing the tradition of five-word speeches at the Webby Awards, the amazing NYMA talent triumphantly declared, “Philippines, this is for you!” as she took center stage in a custom terno by Santi Obcena, styled by Pam Ricarte. Abi made history as the first-ever Filipino independent content creator to receive the People’s Voice Award for Social - Food and Drink.

In a heartfelt post-event message, Abi shared, “This is our win!” highlighting the achievement as a collective effort. She expressed her joy in representing the country and the contributions of many to this milestone.
