Around 939 families or 3,230 individuals have been evacuated from different barangays in Passi City. They are currently staying at their Barangay's respective Evacuation Centers.

Passi City Public Market put on lockdown for disinfection after a vendor was tested positive for COVID-19

Vendors and tenants of the Public Market packed their belongings for evacuation. 10-15 houses were also put on lockdown for monitoring and contact tracing.

At around 23:30 of March 8, 2020, a fire has engulfed the administration building of Passi National High school. The local BFP unit responded to the fire immediately.

Happy fiesta, Passi City!

Expect heavy traffic inside the city proper, and don't forget to bring your umbrellas! The weather outside is gloomy at 26°c!

Passi City, Iloilo

At around 12:45 am, two brawls erupted inside the city proper at the food festival area just beside plaza paloma at the same time. The first one, an employee of URC who hit his former subordinate with a chair multiple times after a heated arguement, and the second one was between two gangs of young men.

PNP and BPAT elements responded on the scene and a police officer gut-punched a suspect twice while being held by the copper and his mate, producing two loud thuds, neutralizing the suspect.

The gangs of kids managed to slip away, while the first brawlers were caught by the Police. A nunchuck and a shiv was confiscated by the police.

After typhoon ursula left the panay island, an intensity 4.8 earthquake with its epicenter located at dumarao, capiz, shook panay at around 8:30 pm.

People ran to open areas in a panic and A woman fainted, BFP, BPAT and PNP elements responded to the incident.
