Eva Noblezada is set to take the stage in the upcoming “The Great Gatsby” musical.

The Filipino American actress will portray Daisy Buchanan, the rich socialite and love interest of Jay Gatsby. The musical opens at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, running from October 12 to November 12. Eva made her Broadway debut back in 2016 for as Kim in “Miss Saigon”, the role originated by fellow Fil-Am actress and legend Lea Salonga.

Cerritos has the most robust Filipino community in the region, with two of their city councilmembers being Filipino as well.
