Proposed military - industrial complex between Japan ๐ฏ๐ต and the Philippines ๐ต๐ญ ...
In the soon to rise Defense Industry Economic Zone in Bataan, Philippines.
Where Japan intends to manufacture, develop, and mass produce, ARMORED VEHICLES, AMMUNITION, SATELLITES, etc, with a proposed provision for technology transfer for the armored vehicles which may include ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIERS, INFANTRY FIGHTING VEHICLES, TRUCKS, etc.
The way I see it, the most probable armored vehicles based on the most latest variant, which are also exportable, profitable, and that could be mass produced in the country are the:
TYPE 96 Armored Personnel Carrier - ๐ฏ๐ต
One of the most latest Armored Personnel Carrier of Japan, the Japanese government also plans to develop an improved variant of the Type 96 with better protection and design.
The Type 96 could be added among the list of wheeled armored personnel carriers of the Philippine Army, ( proposal / estimation ) roughly around 100 + Type 96 Armored Personnel Carrier, if this push through.
The Philippine Marines and the Philippine National Police, SWAT, and the Philippine National Police Special Action Force could also use the Type 96 Armored Personnel Carrier.
The other one is the -
TYPE 89 Infantry Fighting Vehicle - ๐ฏ๐ต
One of the most latest Infantry Fighting Vehicle of Japan. The Type 89 Infantry Fighting Vehicle could replace the aging fleet of Infantry Fighting Vehicle of the Philippine Army which is the AIFV 25 and M113 infantry fighting vehicle.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines doesn't really have a proper Infantry Fighting Vehicle, the Armed Forces of the Philippines instead uses most of it's Armored Personnel Carriers as Infantry Fighting Vehicles, isn't a high time for the Armed Forces of the Philippines to acquire some infantry fighting vehicles as well?
The Type 89 could be added among the list of infantry fighting vehicle of the Philippine Army, ( proposal / estimation ) roughly around 30 to 60 + Type 89 Infantry Fighting Vehicle, if this push through.
SQUAD VEHICLE CHARLIE / LIGHT Tactical ARMORED VEHICLE - ๐ต๐ญ
The most latest armored vehicle ( still a prototype ) that is currently being developed in the Philippines, is the Squad Vehicle Charlie, if the proposed military - industrial complex pushes through, local defense/security companies could also benefit from it as the Philippine and Japan could jointly develop, improve, mass produce, and export our very own light armored vehicle, which is the squad vehicle charlie.
The squad vehicle charlie could be a troop carrier, reconnaissance vehicle, scout vehicle, ammunition carrier, emergency vehicle/ambulance, logistical vehicle, etc.
If successful, Japan and other countries could also use our very own Squad Vehicle Charlie Light Tactical Armored Vehicle as well, ( proposal / estimation ) the Armed Forces of the Philippine might need 100 + Squad Vehicle Charlie all throughout the services for various purposes.
The Philippine National Police, SWAT, and the Philippine National Police Special Action Force could also use the Squad Vehicle Charlie Light Armored Vehicle.
It is the first step -
I assume all of the armored vehicles stated above, are also for exports and could be sold elsewhere around the world, as Japan are now readying to open and export their locally made military assets around the world, the Japanese government chooses to invest in the Philippines to jointly develop and improve the military industries of both countries.
