How to train your VA like a PRO?
* Record yourself doing the task that you need to do using any free or paid video conference tool out there like Zoom or Loom.
* Just share your screen and take that extra 3-5 minutes time to talk as you walk through the task talking through every decision and step you make.
* In short - do a brain dump of all the information and decisions that are running in your head.
* Send the pre-recorded videos to your VA to do those tasks for you.
BUT WAIT! THERE IS MORE!
You can ask your VA to create a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) from your videos so you will never have to train for a specific task again.
You saved your time from training about a specific task again and you set your Virtual Assistant up for success!

Training your VA is crucial as it equips them with the right knowledge about your business and allows them to think of ways on how they can contribute more to the success of it. Often the biggest mistake when hiring a VA is that you don't spend enough time investing in training and expect more from your VA.
You can consider using softwares that allows recording while sharing your screen like Zoom, Loom video and the like. Many times it is easier for the VAs to see how the tasks are done thorugh videos as you walk them through the steps.

As a Freelance VA working remotely, it is best to set up a weekly meeting with new client/s when you are only starting with them. Eventually, you can adjust them to 2x or 1x a month depending on the need.

Yesterday at the Chase Family Day with my man.
Treb to the manager: Boss taga Chase din po siya dati. Nagresign nung pandemic.
The manager: Ah talaga. San ka nagwowork now?
Me to the manager: Sa bahay lang po☺️ Freelance. Bahay po ang office ko.
The manager again: Uso yan kahit di pa nagpandemic. Lalo na nauso nung nagpandemic.
Me and my mind: Hmm uso? which means it will be out of date sooner or later? meaning babalik pa din ako sa corporate pag din na uso?

For some they may see it as "uso" ngayon. But for many who's succeeded and is succeeding, THIS IS NOT JUST A TREND. It is a BUSINESS. You are your own boss.
To succeed, you need to do a lot of hard work to make it work. If you don't, then you fail.
But failure is part of running a business. The question now is... will you let failure send you back to being an employee? or use your failure to come back strong in your business?
Ofcourse, the answer will depend on what you want to do with your life. To me, the pandemic was my silver lining.
So whichever path you choose, I am rooting for your success.
