TINGNAN : Kinumpiska ng PMRB at ng Quezon PNP ang isang dump truck na pagmamay-ari ng Sariaya LGU dahil sa laman nitong 18 kubiko ng mga bato para sa proyekto ng lokal na pamahalaan.

Sa opisyal na pabatid mula sa QPPO, sinabi ni Quezon police director Col. Ledon Monte na inaresto ang isang pahinante at driver ng dump truck na sina San Pedro Vito, 51, driver ng truck at Rodelito Ferrer, 48 ng Brgy Sto Cristo, Sariaya Quezon.

Ayon kay Monte, ito ay isang paglabag sa Executive Order no. 20 series of 2024 o An Order Declaring a Moratorium on Quarry Operations in the Municipality of Sariaya na ipinalabas ni Quezon Governor Angelina Tan noong nakalipas na April 29.

Dadalhin ang 18 kubiko ng bato sa proyekto ng isang alkalde ayon sa pahayag ng dalawa subalit walang naipakitang kaukulang permit ng sitahin ng PMRB at ng PNP.

Naging bahagi ng pagdiriwang ngayong taon ng Niyogyugan Festival ang pagbibigay ng trabaho sa mga Quezonian sa pamamagitan ng ginanap na Niyogyugan Job and Business Fair sa Quezon Convention Center sa Lungsod ng Lucena kahapon, Agosto 13.

Mahigit tatlong libong (3,000) trabaho mula sa tatlumpu't siyam (39) na lokal na kumpanya at apat (4) na international employer ang inaplayan ng daan-daang aplikante mula sa iba’t ibang bayan at lungsod sa lalawigan.

Ang aktibidad ay kaugnay ng HEALING Agenda ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan na makapagbigay ng maayos na trabaho sa mga Quezonian at patuloy na mapataas ang employment rate sa lalawigan.

Nais ni Governor Tan na makapagbigay ng pagkakataon sa mga naghahanap ng trabaho na direktang makipag-ugnayan sa mga employer, mapadali ang proseso ng paghahanap ng trabaho at mapalawak ang networking opportunities ng mga aplikante.

Ang naturang job fair ay pinangasiwaan ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Quezon sa pamamagitan ng Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO) katuwang ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Quezon at TESDA-Quezon.

Nakasama din ang DICT-Quezon, DTI-Quezon, PhilHealth, SSS, PSA, PAG-IBIG, BJMP at BPI na nagbigay ng kanilang libreng serbisyo para sa mga job seekers.

Lubos ang pasasalamat ni Governor Tan sa mga naging katuwang na iba't-ibang local and overseas agencies na nagbigay ng pag-asa at oportunidad sa mga Quezonian upang makahanap ng maganda at nararapat na trabahong angkop sa kanilang kakayahan.

Gov. Helen Tan has warned provincial government employees not to meddle in political partisanship as the campaign drive in the midterm national and local elections is fast approaching.

The first term governor did her warning during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday as she noted that political trolls and bashers have started to mount their insidious attacks against her administration.

“Alam natin ang mga limitasyon kung hanggang saan ang gagawin ng bawat isa dahil palapit nang palapit ang eleksiyon. This serves as a warning as early as now, sanay na kayo sa ganyan, manood na lang kayo at hayaan n’yo na lang kaming mga elective officials na depensahan ang aming mga sarili,” Gov. Tan said mentioning the name of Provincial Human Resources Management Office chief Ruel Napenas as apparently monitoring the movement of provincial capitol employees in the run up to the elections in May next year.

She urged the assembled rank and file personnel headed by their various provincial government department chiefs, to refrain from being used in any political partisanship and to just stay where they are in doing their jobs for the Quezonians.

Gov. Tan who is up for reelection in next year’s May polls has asked the provincial government employees to support the activities and programs in the 10-day celebrations of the Niyogyugan Festival that began on August 9 and up to 19, Quezon Day, in which a wreath-laying ceremony for the late Pres. Manuel Luis Quezon will be conducted at Perez Park at 8AM; and at 6PM the Quezon Medalya ng Karangalan awarding and announcement of agri-tourism booth winners and the overall champion of Niyogyugan 2024 to be held at the 3rd Floor of the Provincial Capitol Building.

The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, headed by Ana Clarissa Mariano, led the hosting of the Monday flag ceremony attended by office rank and file personnel.

Mariano revealed the province as 1st place winner in the Arabica category and 2nd place in Robusta category in the recent coffee competition held in Tagaytay city. She also announced that Quezon will be the host province of the Calabarzon Coffee Expo next year.

An audio-visual presentation showed the OPA’s accomplishments from April to August which included the Agricultural Service Provider Project that saw the 5 metric tons target per hectare of palay harvest being surpassed by the actual harvest of 7 metric tons per hectare; the establishment of the Lambanog Industry Development Council with the issuance of Executive Order No. 24 signed by Gov. Tan to enhance the promotion and production of the province’ coconut wine; the creation of the Agri-Fishery Enterprise Development Council; the drafting of the Quezon Agriculture and Fisheries Code; the establishment of the Quezon Coconut Industry Roadmap from 2024 to 2026; the conduct of the 1st Vegetable Summit; the update of farmers list per commodity, formation and partnership with farmers and fishers cooperatives; the conduct of the Cocolympics 2024 championship as part of the Niyogyugan Festival celebration.

Nasa limandaang (500) mga kawani ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Quezon ang napagkalooban ng iba’t ibang libreng serbisyong pangkalusugan sa pangunguna ng Quezon Provincial Health Office kahapon, Agosto 12, 2024 sa Quezon Convention Center, Lungsod ng Lucena.

Ang naturang aktibidad na Kalusugan sa Niyogyugan na may temang "Kalusugan Pangkaisipan: Stress Management and Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle" ay bahagi ng idinaraos na Niyogyugan Festival 2024.

Layon ng naturang programa na mabigyang pansin din ang kalusugan ng bawat kawani ng pamahalaang panlalawigan lalo na't ang pangunahing tinututukan ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan ay ang malusog na pangangatawan at kaisipan ng bawat mamamayan ng lalawigan.

Naniniwala si Governor Tan na malaki ang papel na ginagampanan ng mga kawani sa pagbibigay ng maayos at epektibong serbisyo sa mamamayan, kaya naman mahalagang maalagaan nila ang kanilang pisikal at mental na kalusugan.

Kabilang sa mga libreng serbisyo na naipagkaloob sa mga kawani ay chest x-ray, ultrasound para sa mga kababaihan, cervical cancer screening, urine albumin-creatinine ratio (UACR) test, Random Blood Sugar (RBS), Kilatis – Kutis o dermatological services, Sexually Transmitted Infections/ HIV screening and counselling, pagbabakuna ng anti-pneumonia, dental services, libreng gupit ng buhok, libreng masahe at libreng mga vitamins.

Nagkaroon din ng talakayan tungkol sa kalusugang pangkaisipan sa lugar ng pinagtatrabahuhan o Mental Health in the Workplace na pinangunahan ni Dr. Dario Domingo Flores ng Quezon Provincial Hospital Network - Quezon Medical Center (QPHN-QMC).

Samantala, pinangunahan din ni Governor Tan kasama si Provincial Health Officer Dr. Kristin Mae-Jean Villaseñor ang paglulunsad ng Capitolyo Health and Wellness Clinic na binuo upang tumugon sa mga kawani na nagnanais magpakonsulta ng kanilang kalusugan.

Bukas ang naturang clinic alas-8 ng umaga hanggang alas-5 ng hapon tuwing Miyerkules at kung may espesyal na okasyon. Ang clinic ay magbibigay din ng libreng gamot.

Tinanghal na kampeon ang kinatawan ng bayan ng Pagbilao sa katatapos lamang na Madulang Sabayang Pagbigkas noong Linggo ng gabi, Agosto 11 sa Capitol Compound Ground kaugnay ng pagdiriwang ng Niyogyugan Festival 2024.

Naging kinatawan ng Pagbilao ang grupo mula sa Talipan National High School sa naturang patimpalak na nagpakita ng kanilang talento at dedikasyon kung saan nabigyang-buhay ang diwa ng pagbabayanihan

Sa kanilang pagtatanghal, binigyan nila ng bagong kahulugan ang salitang "bayanihan" na hindi lamang bilang isang tradisyunal na kaugalian kundi bilang isang modernong simbolo ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan upang makamit ang tagumpay.

Ang kanilang bawat salita, kilos, at emosyon ay nagpatibok sa puso ng mga manonood, na animo'y binabalikan ang kasaysayan at pamanang Pilipino.

Sa kabila ng hamon ng kompetisyon, naging malinaw ang kanilang mensahe: ang pag-ibig at malasakit sa bayan ay nagbibigay inspirasyon upang patuloy na mangarap at magtagumpay.

Samantala, nakamit naman ni Karla Gabriel Charisma Cosip mula pa rin sa Talipan National High School ang pangatlong pwesto (3rd place) sa patimpalak sa Talumpatian.

Sa kabila ng matinding kompetisyon, napatunayan ni Karla na hindi hadlang ang edad o kakulangan sa karanasan upang magtagumpay sa isang larangang nangangailangan ng talas ng isip at husay sa pagsasalita.

Ayon kay Mayor Ate Gigi Portes, ang pagkapanalo ng Pagbilao sa Madulang Sabayang Pagbigkas at Talumpatian ay hindi lamang tagumpay ng mga mag-aaral ng Talipan National High School kundi pati na rin ng buong komunidad ng Pagbilao.

Ito aniya ay patunay na ang bayan ng Pagbilao ay hitik sa yaman ng kultura at tradisyon, at patuloy na yumayabong ang mga kabataan na magtataguyod ng kanilang mga adhikain.

“Mula sa mga natamong parangal hanggang sa mga sumunod na selebrasyon, ang Pagbilao ay mananatiling buhay na halimbawa ng bayanihan at pagkakaisa. Sa bawat taon ng Niyogyugan Festival, asahan nating ang bayan ng Pagbilao ay patuloy na magbibigay-inspirasyon at pagmamalasakit sa kulturang Pilipino,” saad ng Ina ng Bayan.

Umaasa si Mayor Ate Gigi Portes na maging daan ang pagkapanalong ito upang higit pang mapalalim ang suporta sa mga kabataang Pagbilaoin at maging inspirasyon sa iba pang mga mag-aaral na ipagpatuloy ang kanilang mga adhikain.

Vice chairman for Welfare Committe Neson Licup (seated, center) leads the signing of the deed of donation of a Blue Cops on Mobile Wheels (BCMW) unit which he donated to the Provincial Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (PAGPTD) held at SLSU, Tiaong Campus in Brgy. The unit will be placed and manned by policemen along the highway in front of the campus to avoid or lessen road incidents. Licup is also the Vice- Chairman for External Affairs of PAGPTD.

Pinangunahan ng Provincial Government ng Quezon ang kick-off ceremony ng Niyogyugan Festival 2024 sa Lucena City ngayong Biyernes, Aug. 9.

Binigyang-diin sa Agri-Tourism booths ang makukulay na pagdiriwang mula sa mga bayan at siyudad sa lalawigan na nagbibigay ng pagkakataon sa lahat na matutunan at masilayan ang mga kagandahan at yaman sa Quezon.

Pormal nang sinimulan ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Quezon ang pagdiriwang ng Niyogyugan Festival 2024 ngayong araw ng Biyernes, Agosto 9 sa Capitol Compound sa Lungsod ng Lucena.

Pinangunahan ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan kasama sina 3rd District Congressman Reynan Arrogancia, Vice Governor Third Alcala at mga board member ang opisyal na pagbubukas ng mahigit isang linggong pagdiriwang ng Niyogyugan Festival.

Tampok sa naturang pagdiriwang ang mga magagarbong Agri-Tourism Booth ng iba’t ibang bayan at lungsod sa lalawigan na nagpapakita ng makukulay na kasaysayan, kultura, sining at pinagmamalaking mga tanawin, produkto at festival.

Ayon kay Governor Tan ang pangunahing layon ng Niyogyugan ay maitanghal ang ibat-ibang produkto sa buong lalawigan at kilalanin at bigyang-pugay ang mga magsasaka ng niyog na pangunahing produkto ng Quezon.

Ikinatuwa ng gobernador ang pakikiisa ng mga lokal na pamahalaan sa lalawigan upang itampok ang kani-kanilang mayayamang kultura at turismo.

Patuloy namang hinihikayat ni Governor Tan ang publiko na pumasyal sa kapitolyo upang masaksihan ang mga naggagandang mga booth at iba’t ibang aktibidad na inihanda ng pamahalaang panlalawigan.

The kick-off ceremony of the Niyogyugan Festival 2024 was conducted today in Lucena City, Quezon on Friday.

This colorful celebration highlighted Agri-Tourism Booths from towns and cities in the province, allowing everyone to learn about and glimpse the beauties and resources of Quezon.

The festival's name, "Niyogyugan," comes from the word "niyog," which means coconut in Filipino. Coconut is a staple product in Quezon, playing an important role in the local economy. Electronic vehicles (EV) owners can now travel worry-free as SM City Lucena brought its first and only EV charging station in the this city as well as in the Province of Quezon.

Today, August 9 the mall launched its’ first ever electronic vehicle charging station headed by Lucena City Administrator Anacleto Alcala Jr., City Council Committee on Environment Chairman Councilor Wilbert Mckinley Noche, Department of Natural Resources (DENR) CENRO Ramil Gutierrez, Tanggol Kalikasan Program Director Jay Lim, Lucena City Tourism Officer Arween Flores, with mall management headed by Senior Assistant Vice-President for Operations for South Regions Engr. John Jason T. Terrenal, Regional Operations Manager for South 5 Arch. Marlon Niko Alvarez and SM City Lucena Mall Manager Maricel Alquiros.

The mall management said users of EV through its’ partner Evo X Charge can just park, pop and plug free of charge from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily in the mall’s front parking area.

The SM Supermalls leads the charge in enabling communities to adopt sustainable transport as a way of life, mall’s commitment to sustainability and a forward-thinking approach in serving the needs of community and this is also for a purpose to build a greener environment for all Filipinos.

It is also the mall’s continuous support for the government’s National Renewable Energy Program to promote a more eco-friendly society to the city and the community.

Pormal na inilunsad ng Quezon Police Provincial Office sa pamumuno ni PCoL Ledon Monte ang proyektong Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay.

Nakiisa sa paglulunsad na ito si Sir Arnel Avila bilang kinatawan ni Mayor Kuya Mark Alcala, Councilor Americo Lacerna, ang chairman ng committee on peace and order ng Sangguniang Panlungsod, City DILG Director Engr. Vilma De Torres, Deputy Director for Administration ng Quezon PPO PLt Col Carlo Caceres at kasama ang iba pang mga opisyal ng naturang tanggapan.

Sa ilalim ng naturang programa, mayroong 21 mga pulis mula sa iba’t-ibang mga bayan sa lalawigan ang kalahok dito na kung saan ay ide-deploy sa Barangay Marketview at Barangay Cotta sa lungsod ng Lucena.

Tatagal naman ang proyekto ng 2 buwan na kung saan ay nakapaloob rin dito ang walong araw na seminar ng mga kalahok.

Pangunahing layunin ng Revitalized Pulis sa barangay ay ang makalikha ng ligtas na pamayanan na konklosibo sa pamumuhay, pagtratrabaho at pag-aayos ng negosyo ng mga mamamayan.

Bukod pa rin dito ang pagkakalinya nito sa hangarin na anti-criminality, anti-illegal drugs at anti-insurgency.

In an out-of-the-box initiative to address the lack of emergency response vehicles in remote areas like in the Municipality of Padre Burgos in Quezon Province, AboitizPower subsidiary Therma Luzon, Inc. (TLI) in partnership with Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (AFI) donated a fleet of tuk-tuks (local term for modern passenger motorcycle vehicles) as means of transportation for first responders.

These three-wheeled vehicles, a common mode of transportation in many parts of the country, have been repurposed to serve as vital lifelines for residents of four underserved barangays.

The deployment of tuk-tuks is seen as a practical and innovative solution to the challenges posed by geographical isolation. With their maneuverability and ability to navigate narrow roads, these vehicles are expected to reduce response time in case of emergencies such as medical crises, fires, or natural disasters.

This initiative aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. By providing essential transportation for emergency responders, the project contributes to improving healthcare access, enhancing community resilience, and supporting disaster preparedness efforts.

Pormal nang nanumpa sa katungkulan ang mga bagong opisyales ng Rotary Club of Tiaong-Hiyas sa isinagawang 22nd Handover and Induction Ceremony noong Sabado, Agosto 3 sa Tiaong Town Plaza, Tiaong, Quezon.

Ang bagong set of officers ay pinamumunuan ni Tiaong Councilor Eugene “Eula” P. Lopez bilang Magical President para sa taong 2024-2025 na may temang “The Magic of Rotary.”

Nagsilbing Inducting Officer si Rotary International District 3820 Irresistible District Governor Arnold Mendoza sa naturang seremonya.

Kasunod nito ang pormal na turn-over ng bell at gavel sa pagitan ng bagong pangulo na si Lopez at outgoing president IPP Marieta “Mayeth” Bautista.

Sa kanyang inaugural/acceptance speech, sinabi ni Lopez na noong tinanggap niya ang hamon na maging pangulo ay inenjoy niya ang bawat pagkakataon, ginagawang masaya kahit sa kabila ng mga sakripisyo.

“Napaka-satisfying, fulfilling sa pakiramdam na maglingkod pala sa Rotary, akala ko enough na ‘yung ginagawa ko bilang public servant pero noong pumasok ako sa Rotary marami akong natutunan,” saad ni Lopez.

Sa pamamagitan naman ng isang tula ay ipinahayag ni Lopez ang kanyang mensahe para sa mga kasamahan niya sa naturang grupo.

“Mga ka-Hiyas, hindi ko palaging maipapangako na ako ay palaging kalmado, lalo na pag ang sinasabi ko ay nasa tono at para sa kapakanan ninyo. Paminsan-minsan kailangan din nating maging disiplinado kaya mas mainam na isa na lang ang nagtataray sa ating grupo at iyon ay walang iba kundi ang nasa unahan n’yo. Gayunpaman, alam ko’y ako’y mahal ninyo dahil wala akong ibang kagustuhan kundi ang mapabuti tayo, lalo na at marami tayong bagong miyembro na sa tuwi-tuwina’y ilu-ilook-up kayo,” sambit ni Lopez.

Ipinangako din ng bagong pangulo na anuman ang mangyari ay mananatili siya sa tabi ng mga miyembro at sama-samang magbibigay ng tulong, saya at ngiti sa bawat tao sapagkat naniniwala umano siya na lahat sila ay may ginintuang puso na nagsisilbing tatak at magic ng bawat rotarian.

Sa kuha ng video, makikitang nagtulong-tulong agad ang mga residente na isalba ang mga gamit ng pamilya at apulain ang apoy habang hinihintay pa ang pagdating ng mga trak na pamatay-sunog. Tuluyang naapula ang sunog ng mga nagrespondeng tauhan ng Bureau of Fire Protection Lopez makaraan ang kalahating oras. Pero tinatayang nasa Php630,000.00 ang naging halaga ang pinsala. Sa pagsisiyasat ng mga sa fire investigastor, natuklasan na nagsimula ang sunog dahil sa nagliyab na maliit na clip electric fan na hinihinalang nagkaroon ng short circuit o nag-overheat.
