When you're setting goals for your business, it's important to have a set of guidelines that will help you determine if your goals are actually achievable. That's where S.M.A.R.T goals come in. These guidelines can be applied to any goal you set, whether you're trying to increase sales or reduce the time it takes you to make a product.

S.M.A.R.T stands for:

Specific: Your goal should be clearly defined so that everyone involved knows what they're working towards and how to measure success

Measurable: You need to know when you've reached your goal, so think about how you'll measure it

Attainable: If a goal isn't achievable, then there's no point in setting it, so make sure yours is something that won't cause unnecessary stress

Relevant: How does this fit within the scheme of your business? It needs to have meaning and fit with the rest of your goals

Timely: Goals need an end date, so make sure yours has one

If you are experiencing burnout, you are not alone. In fact, burnout has been named the most significant health problem in the world by the World Health Organization.

Acknowledging that you are experiencing burnout is a good place to start. It may be difficult to admit it, but if you are feeling burnt out, it is important to understand that you should seek help in order to recover and avoid further issues.

Burnout is not something that can simply be addressed with a step-by-step process that works for everyone. There is no one-size-fits-all method of recovery as we and our situations are all different. It is important to understand that coping with burnout takes time and patience.

The main goal of recovery from burnout is not necessarily to be 'productive' again, as productivity doesn't determine your worth or success. Instead, the goal of recovery from burnout is to feel like yourself again. It's important to remember that rest isn't a reward; it's a requirement. Taking care of yourself may not be easy, but it is far more essential than any other job you have. Don't feel guilty for doing things such as taking time off from work or spending time with your family and friends.

Another day based on the self-discovery game featured in Kokology by Tadahiko Nagao and Isamu Saito, answer the following questions honestly, and see what your answers reveal about you.

For most people, the future is greatly influenced by their selection of a mate or life partner. The animal messengers in this scenario actually correspond to your own perceptions of the kinds of people likely to bring you joy and grief. Animals are rich and complex in psychological significance, with a range of positive and negative attributes and associations. In this scenario, the animal you chose as the bearer of the message of happiness represents the type of person you perceive as an ideal spouse, while the doomsayer animal is the type you fear would drag you down into the depths.

1. Tiger.
glad tidings: You see yourself happiest with an ambitious and powerful mate, possessed of an indomitable will to rule.
gloom and doom: You dread the prospect of a vain, tyrannical partner who struts around like a lord of the jungle and growls at any mention of sharing the housework.

2. Dog.
glad tidings: Unquestioning loyalty and absolute devotion are the things you seek most in your mate.
gloom and doom: You are utterly incompatible with those who try to please everyone and fret over what others might be thinking.

3. Sheep.
glad tidings: You see the key to contentment in a warmhearted, nurturing spouse.
gloom and doom: You fear winding up stuck with a boring homebody content to spend each day grazing the same old patch of grass.

4. Parrot.
glad tidings: Nothing would suit you better than a talkative, fun-loving partner who knows how to make you laugh.
gloom and doom: No one could suit you worse than a chattering layabout with a severe allergy to work.

5. Tortoise.
glad tidings: Your match made in heaven is serious, dependable, and sure to be there in your hour of need.
gloom and doom: The prospect of a lifetime spent with a frustratingly slow-moving, slow-witted partner is your worst nightmare.

The first step to solving a problem is to recognize that there is one.

If you're feeling exhausted, disconnected, and empty, you may be experiencing burnout. And though burnout can affect people in different ways and at different times, common signs include:

-Feeling exhausted or drained and unable to do basic tasks like getting out of bed.

-Insomnia. Unable to fall or stay asleep for more than just a few nights.

-Forgetfulness or inability to concentrate and focus.

-Feeling empty or emotionally detached.

-Losing drive and motivation in parts of your life, like in relationships or work/study.

-Loss of appetite.

-Physical illness and symptoms, like dizziness, chest pain, headaches, or gastrointestinal pain.

-Feeling angry or irritated all the time.

But if you're feeling burned out, don't worry—there's a way out of this! The first step is acknowledging that you need some help recharging your body and mind, and then seeking out the resources to do it.

Today, walk away from the people who doubt you. Walk away from their negativity, from their lack of belief in your potential—because it's not real. It's not you. They're saying that because they're scared and doubtful themselves.

Walk away from them until you can no longer hear them, until all you can feel is your own heart beating steadily and your own feet walking confidently toward your goals.

Walk away from them until you can't hear anything but the sound of your own voice saying: "I will prove you wrong."

We are all siblings at one point or another in our lives. Whether they’re your biological siblings, the family you chose, or even the people you work with, everyone has experienced being a sibling.

Having brothers and sisters is something we can all relate to, even if it’s just your work family. They may not be blood-related, but they are still your family in every sense of the word. You fight about things that seem petty, but if someone messes with your brother or sister, you will go to war for them and fight tooth and nail to make sure they are safe. That is what being a sibling is.

You may not always get along with them like you want to, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have your back in a time of need. They might drive you crazy with their picky eating habits or their constant nagging, but when push comes to shove, they will be right there by your side as you always have been for them.

That is why today we celebrate National Siblings Day! It is a day where we all can celebrate the fact that we have someone who will stand by our side through thick and thin.

Today is National Walking Day, which means it's the perfect time to get out and about!
If you're anything like us, you've probably found that it's been easier to stay home than to venture outside into whatever weather your area is experiencing. We've been accosted by the rain, covered in snow, and even subjected to some kind of strange purple goo. But it's not about the weather! It's about getting active, and there are so many ways to do it.
So grab your dog (or borrow a neighbor's if you don't have one), lace up those shoes, and get walking! You can also create active family time by going on a walk after dinner, or if you're at work, take time at lunch to walk around a nearby park or lake. You can even take your next meeting with a co-worker on a walk—you might be surprised how much more productive you are outdoors! If you live in a walking community, try taking an hour today (or even just 15 minutes) to accomplish some errands without hopping in the car.

In fact, we're willing to bet that if you get yourself a pedometer for tracking your steps, you'll be more likely to hit 10,000 steps.

Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do. “Trust yourself,” you say to yourself as you look in the mirror, “I know more than I think I do!”

But do you? The thing is—you don't know what you don't know. You have no idea if you're any good at anything, because the truth is you haven't even tried most things. You're not a doctor or a lawyer or an astronaut. You have no idea how to code, and you've never even read a book on quantum physics. You have no idea what it's like to be a parent and raise kids into smart, kind, compassionate adults.

But that doesn't mean that you're not capable of any of those things. The way we see it is this: everyone starts somewhere, and if that somewhere could be right here—if right here is where your potential first comes to light—then so be it.

Mental Health Awareness Month, and we think it's important to take some time to reflect on how we're feeling, especially since so many of us are working from home right now.

We wanted to talk about stress versus burnout, and how you can distinguish between the two. Both are real and require tending to, but they're different.

Stress is what happens when your workload increases or something goes wrong in your personal life—and it affects your mental health for a short period of time. Burnout might be linked to stress, but it's a long-term condition that can affect both your mental health and physical well-being if left untreated.

So what does burnout look like? You might find yourself feeling unmotivated at work and having trouble focusing, or you might feel exhausted even when you've been resting. You could be experiencing insomnia or anxiety, or you may notice yourself suddenly snapping at friends and coworkers.

If you notice any of these symptoms (or others), reach out to your doctor or a close friend who can support you while you take care of yourself and get back on track!

We spend most of our time being productive to the point we almost forgot the importance of having a good sleep.

It's either we are struggling getting ourselves to sleep or we are catching up an important deadline. Whatever the reason behind our lack of sleep can negatively impact our well-being in the long run.

I hope these tips can help to improve your sleep and remember HEALTH IS WEALTH!
