Ah, sorry. I forgot to tell you that this story was a bit sad.

The sadder thing here is that we Zenaks live up to 180.

I'm currently 84 and have a century left to remember it all.

I haven't loved anyone else since then.

So, I was playing Stellaris and doing my occasional *horrendous warcrimes* activities like claiming territories *war crimes*

When I was reducing diplomatic relations, I noticed that one of my Envoys came from the empire im going to erase, which was a bit sad. So I wrote something dedicated to that envoy.

Envoy

It's my second day on Andas Prime.
Diplomatic relations are going smoothly.

Andas Prime, a very rural and agriculture-centered planet currently within the Jonus Federation's borders.

It's almost like home.

Too much like home.

When I was in my youth, I was with a girl. I can't quite remember her name, sadly. The years have not been kind to me, you see.

I do know that I loved her very much. We were bonded in life until death.

I was employed by the Akkano Confederation as an Envoy, so I had to leave home quite often. But I swear, every time I come home her love for me only grew and so did mine.

I thought things would go smoothly from here. We would grow old and live a quiet retirement in our 150s. Watch the sunsets and sunrises together...

There was a time when the Jonus Federation and Akkano Confederation got into tense relations and ended up in a war that stretched decades.

I was a fool for believing that my homeworld was too far to be affected by the border conflicts.

I was a fool for believing that she would be safe.

At the time I was the spearhead of the diplomatic efforts between the two empires.

Things were, again, going well.

Until the Akkano Chancellor was assassinated. This sparked a decades-long war. The Akkanos used Colossus-class ships. They ripped apart planets one after the other.

I couldn't do anything but watch as my people were obliterated planet after planet.

When I saw an entire fleet of Akkano starships approach my home, it broke me.

She didn't have anything to do with the war. Why should she have to die?

I looked away as the Perdition Beams started to rev up.

I covered my ears, I didn't want to believe any of it.
