How are you keeping it together? What’s your WHY? I was thinking about this and I thought of my team, how their dreams are my dreams now too. I thought of parents who worked hard to raise and give me good education, I thought of my friends who cheered me up when I was in rock bottom. I thought of my papa, who never gave up believing in me. I thought of every person who healed me by their presence. Then, I thought of my old self, who prayed so hard that God will her new dreams. I remembered how hard that time was when I was mentally incapable to do anything. So no matter how hard it gets when I’m pursuing my dreams now, like when the momentum stops, or the motivation rans out or when discipline fails, I will go back to that moment when God gave me hope and new plans, when He breathe life to my bones and gave me grace to keep me going when I was running on empty, when He gave me victories and abundant harvest, when He gave me a team to lead, resources to equip me, friends to journey with, my family’s support, nieces and nephews who unlocked new joy in my heart and this can go on and on because God is so faithful. And He is always, always available to give us grace… to keep it together. When we take time to look and feel good, it shows in your work. 💗As WFH girlie, I rarely dress up for work. Even when go out to co-work with my friends, I usually just choose what’s on top of the pile. Not very mindful. Lol But I’m always encouraged when my binibini friends are all made up, with eyebrows on fleek, cutesy outfits and full make up on. But first, story time.
4 years ago, I AM SO PRIVILEGED during the pandemic. I get to pursue what I love!
It was during the pandemic that I was able to pursue my passion for content creation and learn about personal brands. I created videos, long-form written content, FB LIVES (my favorite! 3 seasons of Binibini Talks by Carla ), graphic content, and explore TikTok reels through the Passionate Creators Community.
Whew! I remember clicking “Go Live” afraid. I remember how I stuttered, and how I felt supported by the community whenever I dis the episodes, Passionate Creators is the most organic community I have been part of. And well, trust me when I say I’ve been part of a lot. Paid and free.
And PC WILL ALWAYS BE MY HOME. 🏠 The safest community I’ve helped build the culture of being free to be yourself, speak your mind, and create your art. I had my first speaking engagement through PC, “Why your message matters” From that talk, my core message flowed. It felt as though God sent me there. And true enough, dreams were activated that night.
Tonight, I declare dreams will be unearthed. Fear will be there, sure, it keeps us alive. But the awakening of knowing YOU HAVE ALL IT TAKES TO PURSUE THE DREAM YOUR HEART LONGS FOR, despite the fear? You can overcome.
I’m now a Core Lead In Training for the community. I’ve always wanted to be part of the CORE! Yes! Being a camp pinuno wasn’t enough. I wanted to do more. But they didn’t ask. Haha 😆 And I was too shy and too doubtful about the value that I can bring, or if I can commit.
BUT, NOW I’m ready! 🚀
I want to be CORE, Because I believe in Lui R. Baarde’s vision for Filipino dreamers, creatives and artists - PC's Founder.
