Og isip suporta sa pangulo sa mga kaayuhan ug kalihukan sama sa pagpangghatag og wheelchair, school supplies, medical mission, ug uban pa nga miabot diri pinaagi sa iyang pagpaningkamot, ang tanang miyembro ning maong kahugpongan kinasing- kasing nga naga-awhag sa mga lumulopyo sa Mabini sa pagbulig kaniya. On July 21 of this year, we shared the touching story of Ms. Anna Marie Lacuarin, a 26-year-old mother courageously battling a mental illness. As the regional chairwoman of Batalla Cares Philippines- Mabini Chapter, Ma’am Helen Natan Jayoma reached out to the national headquarters for assistance. Knowing the unwavering generosity of our foundation, we felt reassured that our plea for help would be met with compassion and support. When the National Chairman, Mr. Carlo Batalla, urged the team to arrange a check-up for the patient, we wasted no time scheduling an appointment at the nearest public hospital offering psychiatric aid.

Fast forward to September 4, 2024, the team led by Mr. Teofanes Gultia Sr., gathered at 2 in the morning for a lengthy journey with Ms. Lacuarin's family for her scheduled check-up. Witnessing the patient travel such a distance in the early hours of the morning due to her condition was deeply moving. After driving more than 100 km, we finally arrived at the hospital. Ms. Lacuarin underwent a check-up and received the necessary prescriptions. Though we understand that her need for medication will persist, we find comfort in the knowledge that we have taken the first vital step in her treatment process.

The family was advised to enroll Ms. Lacuarin in a rehabilitation center in Cebu City, but they expressed concerns about the associated expenses. If you find it in your heart to help, you can reach them through the patient’s father Mr. Eleno Lacuarin. Your kindness and support would mean the world!

Anna Marie Lacuarin, a 26-year-old woman from Cateroy, Abad Santos, Mabini, Bohol, has been struggling with an undiagnosed mental disorder for the past 9 years. She is currently confined in a small hut to prevent her from escaping, following past abuse that led her to become a mother to a 3-year-old child. Unfortunately, their remote living situation makes it difficult to access their location and provide assistance.

Her mother is reaching out for help, in hopes of the betterment of her daughter's condition.

The journey to Cateroy, Abad Santos, Mabini, Bohol was incredibly challenging. We conquered a treacherous, muddy path concealed by dense foliage. Despite the long trek, our unwavering determination paid off as we experienced the heartfelt gratitude of the residents for the small gifts we brought.

During our visit, the team took charge in orchestrating a simple boodle fight, and provided school kits to the daycare and kindergarten students. This impactful endeavor would not have been achievable without the relentless efforts of Sir Carlo Batalla (CCWI and Batalla Cares Philippines National Chairman), Mrs. Helen Natan Jayoma (CCWI & Batalla Cares Bohol Provincial Chairman), Sir Teofanes Gultia Sr. (CCWI & Batalla Cares Mabini Chapter President), and the committed CCWI/Batalla Cares Mabini Chapter Volunteers.
