It is a moment for reflection, prayer, and gratitude for their steadfast faith and the spiritual legacy they have left us.

Let us pray...

Almighty ever-loving God, by whose gift we venerate in one celebration the merits of all the Saints, bestow on us, we pray, through the prayers of so many intercessors, an abundance of the reconciliation with you for which we earnestly long.

𝐈 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞: 𝐈 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠.

The words are not much lighter than the heaviness students carry within themselves, on top of being an achiever, breadwinner, and one aspired to by many—only a few really know what teary eyes one carries. No one really knows except yourself how much you burn for everything you do to the point it extinguishes your soul.

To the watchful eyes of everyone, among those, where can the rest be sought? In this world where the shoulders carry more boulders than one could, where can it all be laid onto? How much more can be maintained—by this individual who holds everything despite having no hands to hold anything with anymore?

Every day is a journey that we all take, never knowing what goes ahead, only holding a heavy heart as we prepare for the tasks and works, we take. We’ve held papers more than we’ve held our family—a lonely embrace. From the long staring contests with our screens wishing we win—wishing our works are over—to holding on to that tiny light that flickers “tomorrow will be better and okay.” 𝐖𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞.

Questions may never really be answered, but one thing is for certain: life is never over. The struggles may come here and there, but what is a fight if you don’t pain yourself with the possibility of giving up and leaving? Yet here you are, you stand with your hands on your chest, proud and undefeated, even if it seemed impossible to win. The heartache and headaches endured; may it turn to heartfelt outcomes that touch our minds and souls.

Today you may feel consumed, drained, or empty, but onto the next days, may you be full of the life you have once more again. May all our hard work and prayers be rewarded. Don’t be too hard on yourselves, as there will always be a fulfilling tomorrow, we deserve. Your silent battles and silent cries will always be valid; we are just humans wanting to win at something.

"Close your eyes, we're here"

Some journeys in one's life are mostly led alone, but, to the few moments that we cherish and felt held are the very moments we intend to embrace a little longer—forever.

For each moment that we close our eyes, we see them, those people who suddenly image our life in a lighter way, lifting the heavy burdens our shoulders may carry.

Whenever we feel fear that we are failing, or beginning to lose track of ourself—where giving up suddenly feels like it's the best choice to do in that moment, there are hands out there to catch us and bring us back into the sense of reality.

These are the people that makes us wanna live life more, to live a life we deserve, wherein the feelings of cherish, value, and worth are never supressed.

No matter what person we show ourselves as, no matter what skin we wear outside, they have never given the judging eye—because they accept us for rightfully who we are, and for what we are. They make us feel free and far away from the discrimination this world carries, a toxic interlude.

It goes to show that life isn't always about walking on your own path, but the willingness to let others carry and guide you to the path where you belong, to the path in which you, are you.

The college department has displayed their different spirit animals through a mascot competition where creativity meets friendly rivalry. The College of Hospitality Management Pink Panthers managed to top the bench yell contest where every college department brought echoes of passion and pride.

Both Mascot and Bench Yell competitions reflect that Dominikanos are not only sporty but also showed creativity and unity.
