LOOK: TNHS opens ALS SHS, new SHS TVL offerings

Tigbauan National High School (TNHS) announces the official opening of the Alternative Learning System Senior High School Program (ALS SHS).

The ALS SHS offers the Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) strand with the following specializations: Food and Beverage Service (FBS), Bread and Pastry Production (BPP), Cookery, and Tailoring and Dressmaking.

On the other hand, the TVL strand of the regular SHS extended to offer the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Electrical Installation Maintenance (EIM).

LOOK: Tigbauan NHS TV Broad team tops RSPC 2024, to advance to the nationals

Tigbauan National High School's broadcast media team, "The Top Coverage" clinched the championship in the TV Scriptwriting and Broadcasting competition during the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2024, May 23-25.

Besting 14 other school divisions in the region, TNHS will represent the whole of Region VI in the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) in July at Carcar City, Cebu.

Meanwhile, Bea Christine Castañeda, a graduating learner of TNHS, took the 9th spot in the Feature Writing English category with participants coming from 21 school divisions of the region.

Tigbauan NHS is immensely proud of these young journalists!

LOOK: Dr. Tosino announces AM-only conduct of classes, April 1-5, 2024

To ensure the welfare and safety of Tigbauan National High School (TNHS) learners amid the consistent temperature rise, Dr. Wilson Tosino, principal, declared the morning-only conduct of classes, on April 1-5.

“As climate change accelerates, temperature will continue to rise well into this last quarter of the school year. The school cannot withstand the sweltering heat and hot classrooms are detrimental to student learning,” underlined Dr. Tosino in his Messenger announcement.

Furthermore, learners are advised to wear “pre-dominant white t-shirts” for reporting to school.

LOOK: TNHS CAMPUS JOURNOS GARNER SEVERAL AWARDS IN DIVISION PRESS CON 2024, SEVEN TO ADVANCE IN THE REGIONALS

Adding several feathers to their cap of excellence, Tigbauan National High School (TNHS) campus journalists amassed multiple awards during the Division Schools Press Conference 2024, March 1 6-17 at Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School.

The TV Broadcasting Team English (with 5 members) clinched first place in the TV Scriptwriting and Broadcasting, besting 12 other competing teams. Furthermore, Bea Christine Castañeda won fourth place in Feature writing English. For Column Writing Filipino, Angel Kate Torrefranca, was awarded as second placer.

First placers in the team categories and top five winners for individual writing competitions will advance to the next level of competition which is the Regional Schools Press Conference.

Participants in the DSPC were the top 20 winners per individual writing category and the top five winners per group competition from the five congressional districts of Iloilo including Iloilo National High School.

LOOK: TNHS learners get top exec spots in boy and girl officials for two consecutive years

For the second time around, Tigbauan National High School (TNHS) learners have again taken the top executive positions for the Boy and Girl officials of the municipality of Tigbauan.

Kristel Ann Okuno of Grade 12 STEM B and Sung Ho Seo of Grade 11 STEM B, were earlier proclaimed as the Girl Mayor and Boy Vice Mayor as part of the commemoration of the Boys and Girls Week of the municipality.

Furthermore, Modesto Tranco III of Grade 10 Wisdom was identified as the Boy Municipal Engineer.

Learners were chosen based on their leadership skills, their responses in the written examination, and their performance in the interview session.

Identified Boy and Girl Officials will be immersed in the life of a municipality official for a week, acting on their duties and responsibilities.

The three learners were accompanied by Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) adviser Mr. Ramon Tueres III and Dr. Rosario Blanco, assistant school principal.

TNHS Conducts Mass Induction of Club, Org Officers

To take an oath for the duties and responsibilities that they are to perform, Tigbauan National High School (TNHS) student leaders gathered for a mass induction on Sept. 21, 2023, at the TNHS Garinasium.

Ms. Loreza Cañon, Assistant School Principal II, served as this year’s conducting officer.

“Headed by Jam Bernardo, today marks a return to our usual school activities after the pandemic. This includes the mass induction program and an acquaintance party, emphasizing learning beyond classroom walls. Club and organization officers will serve as role models, fostering responsibility and a harmonious learning environment for all students,” emphasized Ms. Cañon in her message.

This is the first time after the pandemic that TNHS conducted a Mass Induction.

Helmed by the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG), the Mass Induction is the first leg of the whole acquaintance celebration of the school.
