I used to be the guy who hated posting.

Social media felt like a stage for those seeking validation, and I convinced myself I didn’t need to play that game.

But deep down, that mindset came from fear.

😳 Fear of being judged.
😔 Fear of not being “enough.”
🙁 Fear of being ignored.

So, I avoided it altogether.

That changed when I took on this 7-day stream of consciousness challenge.

Here’s what I’ve learned so far:

1️⃣ Feeling empowered through creation.

It feels great to showcase my design skills on this journey.

This time, it's not for someone else’s business.

This time, it’s for my own personal brand.

2️⃣ Building connections.

Every time I share a story or life lesson, I feel a spark.

It feels good to inspire others, even if it’s just one or two people.

Sharing has helped me become more confident.

3️⃣ Refining my voice.

As I create more content, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my writing and ability to express my thoughts clearly.

I've learned the art of structuring stories that resonate.

I’ve learned to embrace vulnerability.

But most importantly, I’ve also learned to care less about judgments or the number of likes.

What matters most, in this journey, is that I was able to let my true self show through my words.

4️⃣ Developing a habit.

I thought I’d post every day without fail.

But what happened was...

I’ve missed two days.

The old me would’ve quit after missing a day.

But this time?

I kept going.

Because consistency isn’t about perfect streaks.

It’s about developing a habit of taking action.

Again and again.

No matter the gaps.

No matter the results.

If there’s one thing I hope you take away from this:

Starting something new is never easy.

But it’s always worth it.

Content creation is more about the journey than the destination.

Your voice matters.

Your story matters.

Your actions matter.

Even when no one seems to be watching.

So, here’s to showing up.

Imperfectly.

Authentically.

What do you really want?

If it wasn’t about money or recognition, what would truly excite you?

My life has been full of ups and downs, with wrong turns that ultimately led me to self-discovery.

Here's one those moments...

Last year, I ventured into agency ownership, drawn by the success stories I saw online.🤑💻

I noticed a trend in social media marketing.

Every client seemed to need it, and success appeared almost guaranteed if you simply followed the blueprint.

I thought, if it worked for others, why not try it?

So, I dove in.

Eventually, I managed to land a discovery call. 📞

And after assessing the prospect's needs, a B2B business aiming to acquire clients quickly —

I recommended sales funnels to address their real need.

To explain funnels properly, I partnered with a white-label agency that specializes in this service and invited them to our next call.

During our follow-up call, my agency partner managed to handle all of the prospect's objections.

Unfortunately, when the client hesitated to commit to our fixed pricing offer and insisted on results-based payment, my partner decided to back out.

If it had just been me, I might have gone for it.

But without their expertise, I couldn’t move forward. 😵‍💫

And so, I decided to back out too. 🤷🏻‍♂️

And that 👏🏼 was my wake-up call.

My late realization was that if I was going to build an agency, it had to be an authentic extension of who I am;

Not just a way to chase money. 💸🏃🏻

I should've just focused on my true passion and built a creative agency from the start!

That moment taught me an important lesson:

True success doesn’t come from following someone else’s blueprint…

It comes from understanding what YOU truly want! 🫵

It’s about staying true to what excites you! ❤️‍🔥

That’s not to say you shouldn’t explore new things or aim for big goals;

But do it from a place of growth and authenticity. ✨

Stay true to yourself, even when the world is pushing you to follow a different path.

Learn from others, but NEVER lose sight of your own passion.

When you focus on pursuing your passion and becoming the best version of yourself, the journey itself becomes the reward.

Think of money as just a bonus, but self-improvement should be the real goal! 🧠🚀

The “bonus” will naturally follow as you align with your true path.

If you’re out there trying to replicate someone else’s success story, ask yourself…

Is it truly mine?

They say being alone is lonely. I say it’s where I thrive.

Previous Struggles:

🏠🚶‍♂️ Bouncing between homes: Wasting time traveling and adjusting to routines

🔑🙅‍♂️ Not having a space to truly call my own: Feeling limited by simple things

🍽️💸 Feeling like a burden, especially when it came to household expenses

🚗🌄 Living far from establishments: Feeling trapped at home

🌐⚡ Regular internet and electricity outages in the province

🚫🍔 The lack of urban amenities like Grab services, certain brands, and foods I enjoy

🚚📦 Higher shipping fees for online shopping

🎨💼 Limited job opportunities for creatives

🤝🌍 A scarcity of like-minded, progressive people

While I appreciated the simplicity of life at my parents' place in the province and the kindness of the people, it just wasn’t an environment where I could truly thrive in my creative profession.

All of these made me realize further that I needed to move back to NCR and find a stable space of my own — one where I could truly grow both personally and professionally, without constraints.

When I moved to Taguig earlier this year, it wasn’t just a change of address — it was a declaration of independence.

Setting up my apartment was truly exciting! Turning an empty space into something that reflects my personality, from buying my own appliances to installing all my furniture — each small task was a step toward reclaiming control of my life and my work.

It took me more than a year of saving and planning, but every effort was worth it! Moving here has brought me peace of mind and the clarity to pursue my goals without limits.

My days are filled with intention — whether I’m designing, editing, preparing my morning shake (without the worry of disturbing anyone), going to the gym, organizing and decorating my space, or mapping out the next steps in my creative journey.

To anyone feeling stuck or uncertain about living independently, here’s what I’ve learned:

Solitude isn’t something to fear. It’s a superpower. It’s a chance to learn, to create, and to build the life you’ve always dreamed of.

"What do you do for a living?"

This question always gets interesting reactions! When I say, “I’m a Multimedia Artist,” people often respond with:

“Oh, sa news media?”

Or, “Oh, artista ka?” (Are you a celebrity?) 🙃

And when I add, “I do designs and animations,” they’ll ask:

“Ah, gumagawa ka ng anime?” (Do you make anime?)

Some even assume I’m a gamer or streamer when they see my workspace setup with my gaming PC, mic, headset, and ring light. 😅

But the gaming PC is just my trusty editing machine. The setup is for virtual meetings for my work, group coaching classes, and sometimes discovery calls with potential clients as a freelancer.

Explaining my work can sometimes feel like solving a puzzle for people. But to simplify:

My job is all about helping business brands communicate their messages, ideas, and stories in a way that’s "visually appealing" and "easy to understand"—whether the visuals move or not.

This includes motion graphics, my favorite part of the job, where I bring designs to life by animating text, shapes, illustrations, or pictures.

For instance, when a company wants to explain their service or how their product works, I create videos where these elements move together to make the concept clear and engaging.

Or, if they need poster or banner designs for their digital platforms (social media, app, or website) and print materials, I handle that too!

Ever had people struggle to understand your job in the digital space?

What kind of funny or confusing responses have you gotten so far? 😅

Would love to hear them!

From hero to zero.

I used to be unstoppable. I was hitting the gym consistently, pushing myself every day. I even paid for a full year’s gym membership upfront during a New Year promo, knowing I’d make the most of it.

But life threw some challenges my way.

I hurt my wrists (ECU tendinitis that lasted for three months). Then, I got hit with a nasty cough. And now? Leg cramps have me struggling to stand and walk.

It feels like my body is sabotaging me at every turn.

Yesterday, I thought a simple stretch would help me ease back into things. But before that, I painted my room, walked a long way to find an ATM, stood in a long line, and carried heavy groceries all the way home.

By the time I got home and tried to stretch? My left calf gave out.

It’s been 4 months since I last stepped into the gym. I feel so weak, and I’ve lost so many hard-earned gains.

That’s 4 months of frustration, guilt, and thinking about that unused months I’d already paid upfront.

It’s hard not to feel defeated.

But here’s the thing: I’ve learned that while we can’t control everything that happens to us, we can control how we respond to it. And lately, I’ve been asking myself:

“What is this trying to teach me?”

I still don’t know the full answer. But if there’s one thing these setbacks have done, it’s forced me to start something I’ve been procrastinating on for some time.

Which brings me to this: The 7 Days Stream of Consciousness Challenge.

For the longest time, I’ve been waiting for the “perfect time” to start building my personal brand, to share stories that inspire and connect. But here’s the truth: there’s no such thing as the perfect time. Sometimes, life pushes you forward in the most unexpected ways.

So here I am, turning these frustrations into fuel. This challenge is my way of taking back control. Of showing up, even when it feels like everything is working against me.

Negative circumstances? Sure. But maybe, just maybe, they’re the push I needed all along.

See you tomorrow for Day 2.
