Honing the capacity to lead, the student-leaders of Mother Theresa Colegio (MTC) de Pamplona, Inc. took part in the 1st Leadership Training 2024, themed: "Empower and Elevate: Building leaders for tomorrow," on September 25-27.

The goal of the training was to impart knowledge and help the student leaders to enhance their leadership skills in- and off-campus. Through varied sessions, students had the opportunity to participate, exchange their knowledge, and inquire about various topics.

On the first day morning, the attendees were taught how to plan and implement projects, whereas, in the afternoon, the different branches of Mother Theresa Colegio Group of Schools (MTCGS) prepared team-building activities for the student-leaders.

During the second day of training, Mr. Remar A. Lascano, a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation president, emphasized the significance of respect and trust in leadership.

He concluded his talk by stating: "A strong leadership is established on competence, integrity, and empathy. Leaders should possess knowledge, act with ethics, and demonstrate empathy towards their team members to cultivate an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect."

On the last day of the training, the election for the Federation of Supreme Secondary Learners Government (FSSLG) took place, wherein the different SSG officers of the varied branches of MTCGS participated.

Two student leaders from MTC Pamplona were chosen to serve as officers of FSSLG; Hershie Flora, the SSG vice president, has been elected as the representative of MTC Pamplona, while, John Francis Sabalboro, the SSG president, will take on the role as the Public Information Officer (P.I.O.) of FSSLG.

"I feel deeply privileged and thankful for the opportunity to fulfill this position. As the newly appointed FSSLG P.I.O, it's my responsibility to represent my fellow Mathesians. Through various platforms like social media and school announcements, I will ensure that every student receives accurate information about the present and forthcoming events in MTCGS," Mr. Sabalboro shared during an interview.

Mother Theresa Colegio De Noveleta Grade 11 ABM Skopje and STEM Kosovo students under the Earth and Life Science class of Sirr Babolss engaged in a hands-on activity where they created detailed models representing geological features such as strata, folding, and faults using clay. This exercise allowed them to visualize the layered structures of rock formations, known as strata, and how these layers can be deformed over time due to tectonic forces. By molding the clay, students demonstrated different types of folds, such as anticlines and synclines, which occur when rock layers bend under pressure. They also crafted fault lines to show how Earth's crust can break and shift along these faults during earthquakes. This activity not only enhanced their understanding of geological processes but also honed their skills in representing complex scientific concepts through modeling.

The Mother Teresa Colegio Group of Schools conducted a Leadership Training session headed by MTC-Bula for student leaders in various organizations and clubs, with a theme "Empowerment and Elevate: Building Leaders for Tomorrow."

The final day of the Leadership Training Conference concluded earlier this morning, where student leaders from different branches of the Mother Teresa Colegio Group of Schools (MTCGS) gained new perspectives that they can apply as they embark on their journey as student leaders.

Mr. Kervin Jay A. Valiao, the TVI administrator of PULXAR, served as the guest speaker of the last day of the conference and explored leadership through an in-depth and comprehensive discussion. The virtual conference provided a dynamic and engaging platform for participants to interact and expand their learning.

The participants gained valuable insights and knowledge by sharing their experiences with one another. Thus, this conference not only equipped them with the skills to lead but also instilled a sense of responsibility and purpose in their roles as student leaders.

As they embark on their journey, they carry with them the confidence and determination to make a positive impact. The conference truly highlighted the potential of youth to drive meaningful change, not only in their schools but also in society.

In the afternoon, the various organizations of Noah's Academy Incorporated, including PAMANA, C.A.T., PASIKLAB, and S.S.G, gathered for a team-building event headed by Ms. Haila Suhod, the Event Coordinator, with the help of Mr. Matthew Autencio, the SSG Adviser, at the Manta Corporate Plaza field.

The event kicked off with a fun interactive game that allowed members to connect and get to know each other better. This was followed by engaging team challenges that tested their skills, communication, and teamwork. The day was filled with laughter and enjoyment as they participated in games and competitions.

The team-building event was a resounding success, demonstrating that unity and cooperation extend beyond individual clubs. It served as a valuable opportunity for members to deepen their friendships, strengthen their teamwork, and gain a better understanding of each other's goals and aspirations.
