The Painters were the first basketball dynasty in the Philippines, dominating MICAA and BAP tournaments from the 1950s to early 1960s. They won seven consecutive National Open championships, seven MICAA titles, and the first grandslam in Philippine basketball in 1954. The team won 95 out of 109 games during this period.

When Elizalde & Co., Inc. joined the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) in 1975, the YCO franchise remained in the amateur ranks. Most of its players were elevated to the professional PBA franchise named Tanduay.

The YCO franchise ended with the closure of the MICAA in 1982.

Hinangaan ng mga netizens ang isang mag-aaral mula sa Bulacan na pursigidong pumapasok sa paaralan gamit lamang ang isang unicycle.

Sa video na inupload ni Jonathan Paa, makikita ang isang grade 7 student na lulan ng kaniyang unicycle habang papauwi galing sa paaralan.

"Araw-araw dumadaan dito yan, may hawak pa na libro yan tsaka may bag pa, mahusay [siyang] mag-balanse," pagbabahagi ni Jonathan.

Aniya, nakilala niya ang mag-aaral nang nagtungo siya sa tahanan nito at napag-alaman niyang walang pambili ng bisekleta ang pamilya nito kaya naman nagtitiis na lamang ang bata sa kaniyang unicycle kaysa mamasahe araw-araw.

"Sana matulungan yung bata kasi masipag siya mag-aral," hiling ni Jonathan.
