SUSPENSION OF MOTORBANCA (Panglao)

The Governor of Bohol has ordered immediate temporary suspension of motorbanca trips to Panglao’s Virgin island pending investigation on the incident of overpriced seafood sold in the area.

This followed after a social media post went viral yesterday about the overpriced seafood sold at the Virgin Island. A group of tourists paid over P26,000 last Friday for a meal that they ate while in the area.

Governor Aris Aumentado said that they are alarmed at the situation and he is calling for an emergency meeting to discuss the situation.

As of writing, DENR Bohol and its regional office is yet to comment on the issue.

Former Philippine President Fidel Ramos Died of Covid

Former President FVR just passed away due to complications of COVID. May his soul rest in peace.

Fidel Ramos, in full Fidel Valdez Ramos, byname Eddie Ramos, (born March 18, 1928, Lingayen, Phil.), military leader and politician who was president of the Philippines from 1992 to 1998. He was generally regarded as one of the most effective presidents in that nation’s history.

Ramos was educated at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., and at the University of Illinois, U.S. He then entered the Philippine army, serving in Korea and Vietnam.

In 1972 President Ferdinand Marcos appointed him chief of the Philippine Constabulary, and when Marcos imposed martial law later that year Ramos was responsible for enforcing it. In 1981 Ramos became deputy chief of staff of the armed forces.

Si San Isidro Municipal Councilor Gloria Biwang Gementiza ang nidaog nga Presidente sa PCL sa gihimong election Hulyo 26 human gipilde niini si incumbent PCL President Jescelo Adiong.

Naka-angkon si Gementiza og 295 votes batok kang Adiong nga aduna lay 176 votes sa bag-o pa lang natapos nga canvassing. Gipaabot nga iya opisyal nga iproclamar karong buntag sa comelec sa gihimong election.

Siya molingkod nga ex-officio member sa Sangguniang Panlalawigan sa Bohol.

The governments of Ireland, France, and Malta warned their constituents not to consume a pop**ar Filipino instant noodles brand due to "high levels of Ethylene oxide (a pesticide)" following information received through Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed.

The affected batch was made in Thailand and has a best before the date of July 20, 2022, the Rapid Alert System added.
