Oh ayan, walk the talk. Pangunahan mo daw, hamon ng iyong kapatid na si Lino, “The Good Cayetano.” Let go of power. Lead the way. Abandon your posts sa Senate at sa Taguig. Huwag na rin mag-ambisyon sa 2028. End your political dynasty.

Kaya today? Prove us wrong na hindi ka puro boladas.

What if unahin mo muna yung 10k namin Alan Peter Cayetano bago ka mag resign at retire.

What if unahin mo muna yung 10k namin Alan Peter Cayetano bago ka mag resign at retire.

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano on Sunday proposed a radical idea to address the growing public distrust in government—calling on top officials to step down and allow a snap election.

In a Facebook, Cayetano said that trust in public officials has eroded, with many Filipinos viewing politicians with suspicion. “People have lost trust in government and government officials. Honestly, who can blame them?” he wrote.

He then posed a thought-provoking question: “WHAT IF we all just resign and allow a snap election—from the President, Vice President, Senate, and Congress—with one important addition: no incumbent from the above can run for one election cycle.”

Cayetano said the proposal would allow a “clean slate” for the Filipino people without political drama or recycling of leaders. “National government has its bureaucracy and will continue to run. Governors, mayors, and barangay chairpersons are generally trusted and will be in place,” he added.

The senator explained that such a move could serve as a “turning point leading to renewal and revival,” calling it a form of sacrifice rather than rebellion. “Instead of people power, sacrifice from people’s servants,” he said.

Cayetano concluded, “If we truly serve them, then starting over shouldn’t scare us. Because real change starts with radical honesty—and the courage to admit when it’s time to step aside. We should all just consider this ‘What If’ and pray about it.”
