Welcome to Origin Launch Week! We have a full schedule of leeks & events planned over the next seven days, culminating with the launch of Axie Infinity: Origin on April 7th!

We had originally planned to launch Origin today. After the security breach, we needed to reprioritize some team members, and shift the launch date by one week.

BREAKING: 30,000 Axies were affected by the recent ban wave overnight.

Sending Axies to a friend is ok.

Abusers do the following:
1. Send Axies to a 'friend' after they have completed the daily quest.
2. That 'friend' then completes the daily quest for SLP on the new account and sends it to another 'friend'.
3. That 'friend' then completes the daily quest for SLP on the new account and sends it to another 'friend'.

And so on -> Not ok and will lead to a ban

Around 30,000 Axies were affected.

Some of the abusers noticed that the ban wave was happening and managed to sell their Axies before the ban was applied.

This means some players purchased Axies at a low price in the past 12 hours, and suddenly those Axies got hit with a ban. Those Axies will get unbanned. There is no need to contact support for an unbans, all the data is available to us so hang tight.

Future ban waves will happen instantly to avoid situations like this happening again.

Axie news: Battle version 2 and land developments are accelerating!

Battles V2 (Axie Infinity: Origin) is an upcoming battle system that will introduce Axie to a brand new audience! Origin will be faster, more dynamic, and will allow people to test a demo of the game before making economic decisions.*This will make it even easier for our friends and family members that have never used crypto to fall in love with Axie!

We have our next internal launch deadline to release Origin to a group of our top battlers. We’re also working on our launch plans.

We’re working on the last chapter of PVE adventure mode with some of the concept art and enemy design finished.

The team is putting a lot of thought and effort into making the various chapter bosses unique and challenging.

Origin’s engineers are working on the PVP system. We will mix up and upgrade the season structure and expand it continuously through future patches.

Origin’s game designers are working on stats/abilities for the body parts/cards. We are doing our best to allow the cards to retain the spirit/concepts of their old versions but also add some new mechanics.

We’re thinking about how to add even more customization to team and deck-building.

We’ve finished about 70% of the new card art.

The land team welcomed a new game designer to its ranks this month. The land is a fascinating project— there are so many directions its development can go:

Crafting, building structures, and harvesting resources.

An open amusement park-like experience with many mini-games.

A strategic battle between different armies for control of territory/resources.

The land team met to discuss the path forward and it was decided to focus on (1) and then flesh out (2) and (3) over time.

We’re also spending some time making sure that our new team members understand the economic properties of land and how they fit into our game economy.

Ethereum London Hard Fork has been completed. No new token has been created. Binance has resumed ETH and ERC-20 tokens deposits and withdrawals.

Please note:

ETH and ERC-20 tokens deposits will require 12 Ethereum block confirmations before being credited to user accounts.

A withdrawal restriction on the equivalent value of ETH and ERC-20 tokens (valued in USD) will be imposed on accounts with pending ETH and ERC-20 tokens deposits and will be lifted when 12 Ethereum block confirmations are reached.

Binance will adjust block confirmation requirements based on the Ethereum network stability.

Server Update:

Hello everyone!

We are seeing some small improvements in experience so far. Many upgrades are on the way.

• Desktop experience seems to be better than mobile. Try reinstalling Mavis Hub if you're having issues on desktop.
• Android users are having more success in PVP (Arena) than Adventure mode.
• We're aware that there's an issue with SLP syncing. We are working on a fix.

We're gonna deploy an improvement in a few hours.

There are still a lot of optimizations scheduled to be deployed in the coming weeks. As a side effect, the daily quest progress for today will be reset, and some short-term wrong calculation with the energy may happen.

"It's been an intense week for the Axie nation and we want to provide some clarity and transparency around the server issues and how we are dealing with them.

As we’ve experienced exponential growth, some issues have popped up with the game server. Hooking a game up to blockchain data is a new invention; something that nobody has ever done before with a large number of players. Things were going smoothly until the last few weeks but the server started to breakdown once we passed 500,000 daily active players.
Obviously, not being able to play is a very painful experience. Fixing these issues is our #1 priority.

What We're Doing
• We've shifted more of our engineering team to work on fixing this.
• We've hired additional engineers to work on server scaling.
• We've hired someone from within the Axie community to lead and build out our support system. We will introduce him in the coming days!
• We will be deploying periodic maintenances with upgrades that may make things better. Sometimes they will not work, we need to test live to see if the changes we make are having the expected effect.

We aren’t sure when things will go back to normal, it could be days or perhaps weeks.

It's important for us that everyone in the community understands that we are operating on the bleeding edge of a new industry. If we could solve our problems by simply turning on a new server or staggering logins we would have already done that.
If you find yourself becoming frustrated and want to lash out please take a deep breath and remember that Axie Infinity is still in an alpha state. The game is not released on Google Play / Apple store for a reason.

Thank for you for the patience as we go through this historic time. It pains us to see so many of our beloved community members having issues. We are working very hard. We will get it done.
