DICT Sec. Ivan Uy warns of possible IMSI catchers in public spaces, intercepting mobile phone signals. He urges vigilance and reporting suspicious activity, like individuals with backpacks pacing or vehicles repeatedly circling an area.

IMSI works by mimicking a legitimate cell tower and convincing nearby phones to connect to it. 🇮🇷🇮🇱 | URGENTE - TENSIÓN ISRAEL-IRAN

Ya es definitivo. El Gabinete de Guerra de ha resuelto iniciar operaciones de represalia contra Irán.

El Ministro de Defensa de Israel, Yoav Gallant, ha informado al Secretario de Defensa de los EEUU, Lloyd Austin, que "Israel no tiene otra opción que responder al ataque iraní", en especial al efectuado con misiles balísticos contra nuestras instalaciones estratégicas en la Base de Nevatim.

Recordemos que en Nevatim tienen sede dos de nuestros escuadrones de cazas F-35i Adir.
Si me preguntan a mi cuando se iniciará el ataque, diría que lo antes posible para no darle a nuestros "aliados" la posibilidad de tomar medidas para disuadirnos de iniciar operaciones.

AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE TRAFFIC RULES IN METRO MANILA, EXCLUSIVE TO MMDA - SC

The Supreme Court ruled that the enforcement of traffic laws, rules and regulations in Metro Manila is exclusive to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

This was explained in a recent decision by the SC declaring that local government units (LGUs) may only participate in similar functions only when deputized by the MMDA.

The decision was prompted by a petition for review on certiorari filed by several groups of transport organizations which challenged the rulings of the Court of Appeals (CA) upholding the traffic ordinances by Metro Manila LGUs.

Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa ruled that under Republic Act No. 7924 which created the MMDA, all the rule-making powers relative to traffic management in Metro Manila were clearly bestowed upon the MMDA.

This includes “administration and implementation of all traffic enforcement operations … including the institution of a single ticketing system in [Metro] Manila.”

“The Court hence ruled that the enactment of the MMDA Law shows a clear legislative intent to make the MMDA the central and policymaking body in Metro Manila on matters relating to traffic management, with the power to set the policies concerning traffic in Metro Manila, and the duty to coordinate and regulate the implementation of all programs and projects concerning traffic management, as provided under Section 5(e) of the law,” the SC noted. - mnp
