We got saved!!!!

First ever win in Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island.

Every round was intense. Faced a number of snows and typhoons, my palisade got destroyed, hunted my first beast, and lots of exploring.

Jes the Carpenter and Dora the Explorer got rescued on round 10 when the ship spotted their huge woodpile bonfire. Thanks Friday!!!

The week has been tough for me both mentally and physically so I decided to open a new game I received for my birthday.

Game: Robinson Crusoe - Adventures on the Cursed Island

I really love games with multiple components, wooden and cardboard tokens, game tiles, dice, etc. This is also is one of game niche I haven't explored yet since a number of my games tend to lean to the fantasy genre, theme, and/or setting.

UPDATE for Game 1:

Just finished my first game, the side schemes put me on my toes the whole game. Managing your hand and resources, preparing your combos, and having the unexpected cards join the game (I AM TALKING ABOUT YOU SHADOW OF THE PAST) feels really thematic.

I still won the game after hitting Rhino with 2 Swinging Web Kicks for 2 consecutive turns.

One Deck Dungeon might be ousted as my most played game after tonight.

I didn't know what I did wrong but I was able to win against the Mechanical Marquise with no turmoil.

Final score: 30 vs 14

Maybe the woodland gods just blessed the borfs tonight. 😂🦅🦅🦅

Game: 7 Wonders Duel - Solo

Won by military supremacy against Bilkis.

I won against her via Scientific Supremacy, as well as by scoring so on to another AI, maybe Caesar or Cleopatra.

Also got the urge to set up Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion and maybe I'll also finish Scenario 16.

I was not able to play some games this weeknights but I was able to finish all my starting characters for both Gloomhaven and Jaws of the Lion. 😍

These two Quattryls mark the end of my painting session for all starting characters.

I have unlocked 1 new character from Gloomhaven and both boxes A and D from Jaws as well so ill paint them up next. 😁

Finished painting 3 minis today.

Played with blues and purples with the Orchid Spellweaver; whites and yellows on the Human Voidwarden; and greys and blues on the Vermling Mindthief.

A productive day indeed. 😁

No games played this weekend but we and the Ma'am were able to migrate my stuff to the other vacant room.

Pros: No more floor gaming, I now have a decent table with an average surface area that can accommodate Gloomhaven.

Gloomhaven can now eternally be set up on my table without repeated set up and tear down.

I can now record playthroughs and unboxing videos without disturbing Ma'am D.

Cons: None so far. 🤣

Game: One Deck Dungeon

I don't know what I did wrong but I was able to finish the dungeon and kill the dragon. It was still a close call.

The potions really helped especially the one which lets you roll 3 mana die.

On to the medium difficulty dungeons: Hydra's Keep or Yeti's Cavern

Evening routine.

Campaign using Rogue. Grinding my way into the Dragon's Cave.

I love this game since it requires very small play area and comes in a small box.

I also have Forest of Shadows which is the standalone expansion of the game but I feel it's a bit more brutal.

So happy how my Cragheart turned out. I can say that this is my best so far given my meager capabilities as a painter. 😍🤩

Game: Die in the Dungeon!

Result: Win but with house rules 😂

Dungeon: The Rookies

House Rules:
1. I disregarded the non-epic hero abilities and bonuses and just focused on the attack and defense encounters.

2. Played with the tiles Carcassone style wherein I shuffle all the recommended and needed tiles and just pick one from the top if I'm going to travel to it.

BRUTAL, BRUTAL game.

You will feel that you are really powerless against DIEMASTER as you fail every attack roll and receive CRIT rolls from the enemy.

I fared better with the DIEMON compared to the TROLL O'BONES and I'm getting familiar in using monster abilities.

The last hero party encounter proved to be the make or break of the whole game since I only need to defeat 1 more hero to complete the objective but I'm against 4 level 2 Rogues which has 32 AGI compared to my measly 10.

I managed to power through against 2 attacks from the party, after which I retaliated with a Magic Attack roll with my d10 against their 4 Magic Defense.

I'll play again tomorrow without the hero ability and bonus houserule and see if I can still succeed.

Now, I'm excited to get Too Many Bones when I can afford it. 😂🤣

Game: Die in the Dungeon

Dungeon: The Rookies

Result: DEATH of thr DIERAKE ☠️

This game is BRUTAL! The randomness of the dice rolls adds excitement and frustration to the combat sequences. Also, planning out your path to take so the you maximize your time is integral.

Another, reason why I lost are the frequent crit rolls from the combat sequences I had.

Exciting and frustrating but lots of FUN!

Take note I'm only at 1/13th of the dungeons.

Ughhh! I'll have my revenge tomorrow! Or later 🤣😳

Game: Die in the Dungeon

The dice gods have punished me today. Started with 12 health. All the damaged I received are all crits. I had the advantage in dice but heroes roll crits left and right and this is just the "Learn to Play" portion.

I was able to finish the tutorial with 1 health and 9 time left.

Played 3 games of Zombie in My Pocket

Game 1 - I lost terribly since I spent all my time looking for the evil temple and ended up getting eaten by zombies 1 card before it turns to 11 PM

Game 2 - I was lucky enough to find the evil temple on the first turn and ended up winning with 2 cards before 11 PM

Game 3 - I think today is my lucky day for this game since I was able to get a chainsaw in the Storage Room. Breezed through all the other rooms and the 2 zombie encounters I had because of it. I was able to bury the evil totem 4 cards before 11PM

A nice way to end a tiring day.

Loved how the leather and the metallic red on the Hatchet and Red Guard turned out. 😁
