𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐟𝐮 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬

Four teams from different year levels of the Food Processing Technology program showcased their culinary talents at the Infinite Tofu Olympics, where they prepared course meals—appetizer, main dish, and dessert—during one of the events held for Foundation Week by the Students Association of Food Processing (SAFP).

Mr. Erick Paul Yambao, Ms. Claire Sabayan, and Ms. Mariquit Bautista were present at the event to witness and judge the aspiring chefs based on culinary technique (40%), presentation (25%), taste (25%), and overall performance (10%).

The participants demonstrated full commitment by recreating or creating their own personalized tofu dishes. At the end of the event, Mr. Andrian Villanueva and Mr. Reygie Rogon, both fourth-year students, were crowned winners of the Infinite Tofu Olympics with their signature dishes: Fit-Tofu Sauce (appetizer), Squid Sizzling Tofu à la King (main dish), and Apple Crab with Tofu Sauce (dessert).

Sa gitna ng paligsahan, nagpakitang-gilas ang KrungKrew sa kanilang dance performance.

BulSUans who took the challenge of the Exemplary League of Information Technology Students (ELITES), ITDS' (Information Technology and Data Science) very own organization, truly reclaims the honor upon the awarding ceremony of their E-Sports Month led by their Executive President Clyde Biong, Vice President Argel Balani and other honorable ELITES' officials. This day, 11th of December, the strongest teams and individuals from different departments of BulSU-Sarmiento who managed to dominate the competition among five (5) selected e-sport games were awarded with certificates and cash prizes. The games was held around early November up until early December and includes the following:

- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)
- Call of Duty Mobile (CODM)
- Tekken Battle (Singles)
- Teamfight Tactics
- League of Legends: Wildrift

Another notable activity from the said organization during Foundation Anniversary of Bulacan State University-Sarmiento Campus is the ELITES' Busking.

Around noon today, ELITES' organizers gathered in front of Building A to install their busking booth. It did not disappoint as it attracted lots of listeners and participants as well. OPM's can be heard left and right but some sung western songs too.

The purpose of the said booth was to showcase the talents of unheard voices of the Campus, to give opportunity for aspiring singers or to just give some relaxation time for the BulSUans.

For an affordable price, BulSUans can showcase their singing skills in front of the crowd up until Friday this week—according to ELITES' organizers.

Pagpupugay sa Ika-15 Taon ng Magiliw na Paglilingkod ng ABATHARM!

Sa ikatlong araw ng patuloy na selebrasyon ng ika-120 anibersaryo ng Bulacan State University, ipinagdiwang ng Association for Better Advocacy and Toil of Hotel and Restaurant Management (ABATHARM) ang kanilang ika-15 anibersaryo sa pangunguna ni Desiree Bermeo, Officer-in-charge ng nasabing programa.

Pormal na sinimulan ng mga hosts na sina Alexandrea Del Rosario at Khen Aldritch Padolina ang programa sa ganap na ika-9 ng umaga sa pamamagitan ng isang makulay na parada kung saan ipinakilala ang bawat mag-aaral ng Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.

Matapos magbigay ng inspirasyonal na mensahe si Chef. Christian Anthony Castillo, Department Head ng Department of Hospitality and Management, sinundan ito ng tampok na bahagi ng programa, ang "Ceremonial Cake Cutting", na sumisimbolo sa bagong yugto ng kasaysayan ng ABATHARM.

Nagbahagi rin ng pagbati at mensahe ang kasalukuyang campus dean ng BulSU-SC, si Prof. Gerald C. Hilario, at si Ms. Shirley Espiña, gurong tagapayo ng ABATHARM, sa pamamagitan ng maiksing talumpati.

Bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang, nagkaroon din ng Leadership Talk si Bb. Justine Loise A. Repaso, dating kalihim ng ABATHARM taong 2021-2022, kung saan ibinahagi niya ang kanyang mga karanasan at mga aral sa pagseserbisyo sa industriya ng hospitality management, na nagbigay ng inspirasyon sa mga mag-aaral na patuloy na magtagumpay sa larangan na ito.

Naging masigla naman ang programa ng nasabing organisasyon pagsapit ng hapon dahil sa mga palaro gaya ng "Pupunta ka sa Sagot Mo", "Calling Calling", at "Pahabaan ng Ano" na naglabas ng competitive spirit ng mga kalahok.

Opisyal namang tinapos ang programa sa pagbibigay sertipiko sa mga nagtanghal, at pagbibigay ng mensahe ng pasasalamat para sa mga dumalo at patuloy na sumusuporta sa organisasyon.

The Junior Financial Executives - Sarmiento Chapter (JFinEx-SC) recently held a team-building event titled Phoenix Heist: Crafting Financial Masterminds on the third day of Bulacan State University - Sarmiento Campus' Foundation Week.

Fueled by a passion for collaboration, connection, and growth, the JFinEx officers strengthened their bonds through exciting activities, embarking on a journey toward unity.

From the game of telepathy to flipping water bottles and playing with balloons, they demonstrated their competitiveness, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, all while shining brightly like the Phoenix.

Tunghayan: Mga Inobasyon ng mga Mag-aaral mula sa ITDS Ibinida sa Research Summit 2024

Kasabay ng selebrasyon ng anibersaryo ng pagtatatag ng Bulacan State University, ipinamalas ng mga mag-aaral mula sa ITDS Department ng Bulacan State University-Sarmiento Campus ang kanilang makabagong ideya sa taunang Information Technology and Data Science Research Summit ngayong Disyembre 11, 2024.

Sa ilalim ng temang "Empowering the Next Generation of Tech Innovators through Research," itinampok sa kaganapan ang mga pananaliksik ng mga nasa ika-apat na taon. Ang mga ito ay binigyan ng mahahalagang komento ng technical panel, na ipinakilala ni Dr. Mary Grace Hermogenes. Pinangunahan ang panel ni Engr. Albert Patrick David mula sa Meneses Campus, kasama sina Mr. Chum Majam at Mr. Adrian Flores.

Itinanghal bilang Best Presenter at Best Paper ang proyektong "EVALU8: A Faculty Evaluation System Incorporating RoBERTa-Based Sentiment Analysis and Real-Time Facial Recognition Attendance Monitoring" nina Yolando S. Son III, Jhemmy Belle R. Calix, Arvine Constantine V. Domingo, at Kristel Joy M. Pelo.

Sa kanyang pangwakas na mensahe, pinuri ni Dr. Elenita Capariño ang lahat ng kalahok at hinimok ang susunod na batch na higit pang pagbutihin ang kanilang inobasyon para sa kampus at bayan.

Bukas din sa lahat ang mga presentasyon ng iba't ibang grupo, na matatagpuan sa Building B, Computer Laboratory, bilang inspirasyon para sa mga susunod na pananaliksik.

Bilang bahagi ng ng ika-120 selebrasyon ng BulSu-SC Foundation Week, inihatid ng STARmientos ang saya at kakaibang enerhiya sa dance floor sa pamamagitan ng K-POP Random Dance na ginanap sa Activity Center.

Ang mga mag-aaral mula sa iba’t ibang taon ay nagbigay ng kahanga-hangang performance. Habang tinutugtog ang mga kanta ng mga sikat na K-pop songs. Bawat kalahok ay nagkaroon ng pagkakataong magpakitang-gilas at mag-enjoy sa kabila ng kompetisyon. Ipinamalas nila ang kani-kanilang galing sa pagsasayaw ng makabago at matitinding K-pop hits.

Sa pagtatapos ng programa, tinanghal si Katherine Lacanilao na Champion na nagpakita ng kahusayan sa pagsunod sa mga K-pop dance moves at bigay todo sa bawat galaw na hulmado sa ritmo ng kanta. Nagtamo naman ni Eliza Noreen Dioquino ang First Place, habang nakamit naman ni Delancey Eyriel Ragayday ang Second Place. Bawat kalahok ay nagpakita ng mataas na sigla at saya sa kaniyang performance.

Ayon kay Delancey Eyriel Ragayday, sulit ang kaniyang bayad sa pagpaparehistro sa programa dahil sa sayang idunulot nito sa kanya. Isang patunay na ang K-pop Random Dance ay hindi lamang isang kompetisyon, kundi isang makulay na selebrasyon ng talento at pagkakaisa ng mga STARmientos!

Sa ikalawang araw ng Bulacan State University—Sarmiento Campus (BulSU-SC) Foundation Week, ang mga mag-aaral ng Department of Information Technology and Data Science (ITDS) ay nagkaroon ng IRL iThink Code Camp: BuIDLing DApps on sa ikalawa at ikatlong palapag ng Bldg. B, Computer Laboratory mula ala-una hanggang alas singko ng hapon ngayong Disyembre 10.

Eksklusibo lamang para sa mga rehistradong estudyante ng ITDS department ang naturang code camp. Naglalayon ang programa na ito na gabayan ang mga mag-aaral pagdating sa programming, i-konekta sila sa mga kapwa coder, at bumuo ng kanilang portfolio sa pamamagitan ng kanilang panauhing tagapagsalita na si Ginoong Eliezer Rabadon, Tech Lead ng ICP HUB PH.

Ayon sa eksklusibong panayam kay Alvin Clyde L. Biong, Executive President ng ELITES, ang code camp ay ginagawa sa bawat campus. Nilalayon nitong lalong palakasin at pagtibayin ang mga mag-aaral sa kanilang hilig pagdating sa konsepto ng coding, at matulungan sila sa kanilang karera sa hinaharap.

Bulacan State University Sarmiento Campus opened its foundation week with different GATE Department Organization booths offering various activities and merchandise to campus students in Building C.

The Sarmiento Campus has hosted various student organizations, including Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral na Nagtataguyod sa Wikang Filipino (SAMANFIL), Mathematics Educators in Advocating Numeracy (MEAN), United Society of Science Students (USSS), Young Educators Society (YES), and Society of English Educators (SEE). SAMANFIL's Samfiestahan booth offers a variety of foods and merchandise to provide pleasure to students and gather funding. MEAN's Sumthing Delicious Booth sells street foods, while USSS' Put-a-Booth features carnival and perya games related to their science major and Christmas theme. YES' booth called "Inside Out" offers food, drinks, and a color game to create a memorable learning experience. Students with Historical Identity Endowed with Leadership and Discipline (SHIELD) today continue the operation of the “Kwartong May Saysay” booth, which opened yesterday, while the Society of English Educators (SEE), on the other hand, postponed the operation of their booth for today.

Despite facing financial, brainstorming, and manpower challenges, most GATE Department organizations successfully operated their booths for the second day of the foundation.

Some statements shared by some attendees show the success of the different booths, as they claim that this event provided them with an experience that helped their mental health, taking the event as a rest day, while others claim that the booths helped improve the social life of the attendees by providing them with an opportunity to cooperate with other students while others enjoyed the activities, winning prizes and playing games throughout the day.

Masaya at Makulay: Booth Fair 2024 ng BA Department, Handog Para sa Foundation Week ng BulSU-SC!

Bilang bahagi ng selebrasyon ng Foundation Week 2024, opisyal nang binuksan ng Business Administration Department ang kanilang Booth Fair ngayong Disyembre 10, 2024, sa BA Building at study area ng Bulacan State University-Sarmiento Campus.

Nagsimula ang araw sa isang makulay na parada na sinabayan ng sigawan at sayawan ng mga mag-aaral, nagbigay ng kasiyahan at kakaibang sigla sa campus. Tampok sa fair ang iba't ibang booth mula sa food stalls, mini-games, cinema at photo booths, henna tattooing, at iba pang aktibidad na nagpapamalas ng talento at pagkamalikhain ng mga mag-aaral.

"Masaya kami na nakapagbigay kami ng mga karanasang magiging bahagi ng kolehiyong buhay ng ibang estudyante," ani Blessie Tantay mula sa Tala Tinta. Samantala, binigyang-diin ni Kristine ng event organizer mg Association of Business Economics Students (ABES) ang layunin ng kanilang booth na hikayatin ang mga mag-aaral na ipahayag ang kanilang sarili sa pamamagitan ng sining at pakikisalamuha, na nagdudulot ng positibong karanasan sa mga kalahok.

Patuloy na ramdam ang sigla ng selebrasyon habang ang mga ngiti ng mga mag-aaral ay patunay ng tagumpay ng layuning maghatid ng saya at makabuluhang alaala. Ang mga booth ay bukas mula Disyembre 9 hanggang 13, 2024.

On the second day of the foundation week at Bulacan State University, the Information Technology and Data Science came together for the seminar entitled 'ICP: Understanding the Basics and Beyond'. Held on December 10, 2024, at the Activity Center, this seminar was a beacon of insight, illuminating the path to mastering both the fundamental and advanced concepts in IT and data science and preparation for IT students, especially the 1st and 2nd year.

The seminar featured a stellar lineup of guest speakers as they shared their expertise, enriching the learning experience for all the attendees. Including Eliezer Rabadon, the CEO of DvCode Technologies Inc. and Technical Lead of ICP HUB Philippines, who discussed the importance of Web3; Chelle Ferrer, CFO and Senior Operation Manager at The Round Table-Digital Community Solutions, who explored the social impact of Web3; Jose Patrik Ferrer, Founder and COO at The Round Table-Digital Community Solutions and OPS Lead, Arweave Phil, who presented on standard community moderation; and Theo Roque, Lead Contributor, Arweave Phil. and Senior Engineer, HawkFi; Patricia Arro, Co-Contributor, Palkadot SEA/OPENGUILD, who also emphasized the importance of Web3; and lastly, Stephen Guasch, Operations Manager in Volaris Game.

The seminar provided a comprehensive overview of ICP, delving into its core principles, exploring its practical applications, and forecasting future trends. Participants engaged in lively discussions and insightful presentations, gaining valuable knowledge and skills that will empower them to excel in the ever-evolving world of technology and data.

Sa patuloy na selebrasyon ng ika-120 taong pagkakatatag ng Bulacan State University, naganap ngayong araw ang makulay at masayang Color Fun Run. Mula sa BulSu-SC, iikot sa University Heights Terminal, at babalik sa campus, tinahak ng mga kalahok ang kabuuang 2 laps na puno ng sigla at saya.

Bago magsimula ang takbuhan, isang maikling programa ang isinagawa na nagbigay-diin sa enerhiya at pagkakaisa ng komunidad. Tampok dito ang energizing warm-up session, na ayon kay BM Joanna Marie A. Arsenio, ay naghanda sa mga kalahok para sa aktibidad. Aniya, ang Fun Run ay isang pagdiriwang ng pagkakaisa at kasiyahan—isang paraan upang maramdaman ng bawat mag-aaral na sila ay mahalagang bahagi ng unibersidad.

Nagniningning sa lakas at kasiyahan, ipinakita ng bawat mananakbo ang walang hanggang enerhiya at tagumpay. Ang mga nagwagi ay pararangalan sa darating na Battle of the Bands sa Disyembre 12, 2024.

Sa pagtatapos ng aktibidad, dala ng bawat kasali ang mga ngiti at masayang alaala. Ang makulay na mga pulbos na bumalot sa kanilang katawan ay nagsilbing simbolo ng araw na puno ng kasiyahan, pagkakaisa, at positibong enerhiya.

On the 120th founding anniversary of Bulacan State University - Sarmiento Campus, Artisan once again showcased their incredible skills and talents. From hands to heart, our artisans poured their souls into every creation successfully presented on this 9th day of December 2024, bringing together talented artists, innovators, and enthusiasts.

‎The event highlights included:

‎Art Exhibit: Displaying innovative masterpieces by local artists.
‎Henna Booth: Featuring intricate designs and henna artistry.
‎Photobooth: Capturing unforgettable moments for attendees.

‎According to Ceejay Pajarillaga, President of Artisan, the event aimed to foster creativity, collaboration, and community engagement among students, artists, and innovators.

Additionally, Mark Simbahon, an artist of Artisan, stated that the event promoted artistic expression and innovation, facilitated networking among creatives, and inspired new ideas and collaborations.

The Bulacan State University - Sarmiento Campus held exhibition matches between students and professors on December 9, 2024, at the Activity Center. The event, which began at 1 PM, aimed to promote camaraderie and community engagement among faculty and students. The chosen sports were men’s basketball, men’s volleyball, and women’s volleyball.

The men’s basketball game kicked off the competition with great energy. The professors emerged victorious with a 12-point win, defeating the students 74–62. Coaches Decson Herrera and Jonathan Movilla both lit up the court, scoring 14 points each, with most of Coach Herrera’s points coming from beyond the arc. On the students' side, Milbert Eugenio delivered an impressive performance, scoring 20 points in a valiant effort.

In the women’s volleyball match, the professors defeated the female students' team in two straight sets, both ending with a score of 25–16. Sir Jojo Guntang was the top scorer for the professors, contributing 11 points, while Kyla Tenerife stood out for the students with 8 points.

The final match, men’s volleyball, concluded with a victory for the male students' team, who bested the professors in three sets with scores of 25–17, 22–25, and 25–14. Zyron Navarro’s 10-point performance powered the students to a rousing victory, while Coach Movilla’s outstanding 14-point contribution wasn’t enough to close the scoring gap.
