LENT REFLECTION

Cartoonist: Alondra Barrameda

But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8)

No matter how much you have messed up or how far you feel from God, He still loves you and wants a relationship with you.

You do not need to change or reach a better place before you come to God. He will help you change and get to a better place. All you need to do is accept His sacrifice and say yes to being in a relationship with Him.

The Binalatongan Community College (BCC) is one with the world in the celebration of the International Women’s Day ( IWD) 2024 , the day which pays tribute to the triumphs and contributions of women towards the society’s progress .

BCC women personnel , along with other women from various organizations across the city trooped to the Arenas-Resuello Sports Gym on March 8 to participate in a whole day event packed with treats and activities organized by the city government of San Carlos through its Gender and Development Program.

Through a video recorded message , Hon. Maria Rachel Arenas, representative, third district of Pangasinan, and guest speaker of the IWD program conveyed to the San Carlenian audience that women’s representation in various sectors of the society matters because it enables inclusive decision- making, which breaks down barriers that curtail the rights and limit opportunities .

Recalling how she triumphed over the elections as the first woman to win as representative in the third congressional district of Pangasinan 17 years ago , Rep. Arenas highlighted the worthiness of effective representation when women not only become beneficiaries of change but more importantly when they become agents of change.

β€œ Hindi ka babae lang, ikaw ay babae. Mahalaga tayo, mahalaga ka. May magagawa ka, may magagawa tayo”, she expressed strongly .

FUNFILLED AND ENGAGING ACTIVITIES FOR EMPOWERED WOMEN
