I asked my friend , "What is the secret behind your Happy Married Life?"

He said "You should share responsibilities with due love and respect each other. Then absolutely there will be no problems."

I asked "Can you explain?"

He said "In my house, I take decisions on bigger issues where as my Wife decides on smaller issues. We do not interfere in each other's decisions."

Still not convinced, I asked him "Give me some examples".

He said "Smaller issues like, which car we should buy, how much amount to save, when to visit the super market, when and where to go on vacation, which sofa, air conditioner, refrigerator to buy. Monthly expenses, whether to keep a maid or not etc. Are all decided by my wife. I just agree to it."

I asked "Then, what is your role?"

He said "My decisions are only for very big issues. Like whether America should attack Iran, whether Britain should lift sanctions over Zimbabwe, whether Bodoland should be formed or not, whether Dhoni should retire from Cricket , Whom should Salman Khan Marry. etc etc. and do you know, my wife; NEVER, objects to any of these decisions."

Francis of Assisi was born in Assisi (Italy) in 1181/1182. After a carefree youth, he had a conversion experience and founded the Order of Friars Minor, commonly known as the Franciscans. Soon a young woman, Clare of Assisi, wanted to share his way of life and, during her lifetime, her little community of sisters developed into the Order of the Poor Sisters, later called the Poor Clares. The Franciscan Third Order, known today as the Secular Franciscan Order, also sees St. Francis as its founder. In 1219/1220 Francis went to Egypt, where he met the Sultan; this meeting was the inspiration behind the origin of the Custody of the Holy Land, which is the name for the community of friars who maintain the ancient Franciscan presence in Jerusalem, and help keep alive the memory of Jesus’ presence in the holy places.
Francis received the stigmata in 1224 on the Mountain of La Verna, and the following year he composed the Canticle of Brother Sun, a prayer poem of praise to God, the Creator of everything that exists. In 1979, this prayer and his attitude of reverence towards all created things led to his being proclaimed the patron saint “of those who promote ecology”. Francis died on October 4, 1226, in Assisi, and was declared a saint in 1228.

Surveys say that a lot of people want to write a book.
However, only very few actually wrote and published books.
​
Why is that?
If you're like me before…
​..chances are that you also have these misconceptions when it comes to writing a book!
​
Things like...
“Yes, I really want to write a book. But I don't think this is the right time.I'm still busy."​
​
Or…
​
​“Maybe when my business takes off. Or when I quit my job. "​
​
Or…
​
​“When I'm not busy anymore. Or when I have more time.”​
​
​Here's the thing...
​
You'll never run out of things to be busy about! Would you agree?
​
Allow me to share with you a little back story…
​
When I quit my job, I thought I'll have more time in my hands.
​
True. I did have more time.
​
Since I worked from my home-office, I didn't have to brave the traffic which used to eat up about 3 hours of my time each working day!
​
But guess what?
​
More projects kicked in. More speaking engagements. Travels. Toastmasters activities. Meetings. Etc.
​
But you know what I found out? Writing a book is a decision. You decide to write a book. And you make it happen.
Here's my #1 reason to write:
​
​You write a book because you care and because you have a message to share.

That shift in my mindset has led me to writing 15 books so far.
(In spite of having a “busy” schedule)

Indeed, writing a book is a decision. You have to decide to do it.
And then you take the first step (you just have to do it).
​
And as you take that step, the next step unfolds, and then the next, and then the next.
​
And before you knew it? You're done writing your book.
​
If you keep putting off doing the things that really matter to you…
​
​...one day, you'll look back and say, “I wish I did this years ago."​
​
That doesn't have to be your story.
Do you believe you have a book in you?
​
There is no perfect time to write a book or to start that business or to do what you really love to do! There will always be challenges — like lack of time or lack of confidence or lack of skill or lack of money.
​
Start anyway.
​
Consider this your sign. So go out there and get your message out.
​

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

"Because someone bumped into me!!!"

Wrong answer.

You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.

Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.

Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.

So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"

When life gets tough, what spills over?

Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?

Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?

Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.

Everyone you meet has a role to play in your life.
