Step into the spotlight and become a scholar of the Kanto Kultura Camp (KK Camp) 2024 of Cultural Center of the Philippines and Los Baños LGU, the training program is designed to immerse the Filipino youth in music, dance, and theater.

To herald the upcoming Philippine Independence Day celebrations, Cultural Center of the Philippines lights up its Gusaling Tanghalang Pambansa (CCP Main Building) with the colors of the national flag.

An undertaking of the CCP Production and Exhibition Department, led by its Associate Artistic Director, Ariel Yonzon, the light design utilizes conventional ellipsoidal lighting fixtures with gobos patterned after islands and geographical features of the Philippines.

From Cultural Center of the Philippines: The Virgin Labfest runs from June 12 to 30 at the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez (CCP Blackbox Theater).

Shows are scheduled at 2pm, 5pm, and 8pm. Regular tickets are available at Php600 and Premium tickets are priced Php800 via Ticketworld and CCP Box Office. Regular Festival Passes are priced at Php2,400, while Premium Festival Passes are at Php3,200; available at the CCP Box Office.

Celebrating life’s artistry from the fringes...

Everything mainstream is ready to “feed” us everything to keep the status quo - e.g. sh*tty products/offerings promoted by just-as-bad PR-ish narratives to keep just about everyone hooked enough to shell out our cash for the production of more of the same.

In this picture, arts from the fringes are often ignored.

And for us, this is sad; because - yes, yes, yes, some mainstream products/offerings can be great! - so many of those that could help shape perspectives/lives do not get the attention they deserve; from artworks, to flicks; to songs; to poems; and so on...

Here is where we want to help. By giving a platform for those who may not have any; and/or to help further elevate the discourses on those that may already have similar platforms.
