OTHER HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS

Heavy Rainfall Outlook

Refer to Weather Advisory No. 2 issued at 5:00 AM today for the Heavy Rainfall Outlook associated with Severe Tropical Storm MARCE.

Severe Winds

The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Winds are less strong in areas sheltered from the prevailing wind direction.
โ€ข Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1.
The highest Wind Signal which may be hoisted during the occurrence of MARCE is Wind Signal No. 4.
Furthermore, the northeasterly wind flow will also bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):
โ€ข Today (5 November): Ilocos Sur, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.
โ€ข Tomorrow (6 November): Ilocos Region, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.
โ€ข Thursday (7 November): Ilocos Region

HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS
A Gale Warning is hoisted over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon. For more information, refer to Gale Warning No. 1 issued at 5:00 AM today.

24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook

Up to very rough seas:
โ€ข Up to 4.5 m: The seaboards of Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, and Isabela
โ€ข Sea travel is risky all types or tonnage of vessels. All mariners must remain in port or, if underway, seek shelter or safe harbor as soon as possible until winds and waves subside.

Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters:
โ€ข Up to 4.0 m: The northern seaboard of Ilocos Norte
โ€ข Up to 3.5 m: The seaboard of northern Aurora and Camarines Norte
โ€ข Up to 3.0 m: The remaining seaboard of Ilocos Region; the northern seaboard of northern Quezon and Camarines Sur; the northern and eastern seaboards of Polillo Islands and Catanduanes
โ€ข Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels.

Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters:
โ€ข Up to 2.5 m: The remaining seaboard of Aurora; the remaining eastern seaboard of Quezon and Bicol Region
โ€ข Up to 2.0 m: The seaboards of Zambales, Bataan, Lubang Islands, Kalayaan Islands, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, and Davao del Sur; the western seaboard of northern Palawan including Calamian Islands
โ€ข Mariners of motorbancas and similarly-sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK

โ€ข MARCE is forecast to move generally west northwestward today until tomorrow (6 November) morning before decelerating and turning westward over the Philippine Sea east of Extreme Northern Luzon. On the forecast track, MARCE may make landfall in the vicinity of Babuyan Islands or over the northern portion of mainland Cagayan on Thursday evening (7 November) or Friday (8 November) early morning. Due to uncertainty in the strength of the high pressure area north of MARCE, the forecast track may still change and bring the landfall point to mainland Cagayan-Isabela area. MARCE may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) region on Friday evening or Saturday (9 November) early morning.
โ€ข MARCE is currently undergoing rapid intensification. This tropical cyclone is expected to continue to rapidly intensify and may reach typhoon category today. MARCE is expected to reach its peak intensity prior to possible landfall over Babuyan Islands of Cagayan.
Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.

The next tropical cyclone bulletin will be issued at 11:00 AM today.

Takoyadon officially opens its doors in SM City Roxas

Takoyadon, a new Japanese restaurant specializing in delicious takoyaki and other Japanese traditional dishes, officially opened its first store in Western Visayas last Sunday, at the Foodcourt of SM City Roxas.

Takoyadon aims to deliver an authentic Japanese dining experience to food enthusiasts and culinary adventurers, and to highlight the rich flavors of Japan.

Foodies can watch as skilled chefs prepare takoyakiโ€”crispy on the outside and tender on the insideโ€”right before their eyes on the open grill.

The community turnout exceeded expectations, with locals eager to support this new addition to the culinary scene in Roxas City.

With its commitment to quality and authenticity, Takoyadon is poised to become a beloved culinary destination for both locals and visitors alike.

Visit Takoyadon at the 2nd Level, Foodcourt, SM City Roxas and donโ€™t miss out on the chance to indulge in this exciting new dining experience!
