Heard about Drip Kofi because of an incident which happened months ago. It's located along E. Rodriguez Ave. near Siena College. Arrived at the place a little past nine am. We were waiting outside thinking it was still closed, but when someone came and entered, we were told that it's already open. So we went inside. The counter is partly hidden because it's on the lower ground. I like the white and green color of the place. It gives a refreshing and clean atmosphere.

As usual, I ordered matcha latte (grande, 120p). A copy of the menu is posted if ever you plan to go. I ordered their cinnamon roll, too, and I wasn't disappointed. It was soft and loaded with cinnamon. The frosting wasn't that sweet, so I enjoyed it. My first sip of the latte was a little sweet. The following sips were just right maybe because some of the ice has blended with the drink. However, I think I should have requested to lessen the ice. The cup is almost half full of ice when I finished my drink.

When I come back, I'll definitely try their ube flavored drinks. 😊 ゚

Well, for sure marami sa mga ordinary citizens ang nakaka-relate sa kanila. Hindi man sila kasing sikat ng mga artista, malamang naranasan din nila ang masaktan, maiwan o mabigo. Parang nakikita nila ang sarili nila sa mga artista. Yung iba naman eh mga die hard fans. May kanya-kanyang panig kaya imbes na maayos lalo lang gumugulo. At ang iba naman nakiki-marites lang o mema lang... tulad ko! Hahaha!

And because my birthday is January and 3 years has passed, I need to renew my license. Nowadays, the process is easier and faster compared before. Almost all government agencies today have online appointment system, so transactions are smooth and easy. The nearest PRC office in our place is in Robinson's Galleria. It's convenient to have offices in malls because you won't get bored while waiting. You can either go strolling or window shopping. Or if you don't want to walk around, there is a designated waiting area nearby. The office has a limited space, so only a few are allowed to wait inside. The guard will give you a number, so you'll wait for your turn to be served. It took me almost 3 hours to get my new license. It wasn't long at all because the staff at the renewal section needs to check the credentials of each professional. I was glad people in that branch are friendly and accommodating. Before heading home, I said a little prayer at the EDSA Shrine. It has been years since my last visit.

When I was living in Cubao decades ago, TROPICAL HUT HAMBURGER beside COD Department Store was the nearest fast food store from our house. There were always many people. It may not be as famous as the two leading fast food chains, but they also offer good food.

Today, I'm glad there's one near our place. Seeing the sign, I was surprised to know that they have been around for almost 60 years. Wow! Anyway, I love their creamy macaroni salad. I always have it whenever I visit. Their clubhouse is a must-try, too.

Whenever we crave some light snacks, our place to go is always The Bang Cafe and Restaurant. Aside from it's near our place (we can actually walk going there 😊), it has a nice ambiance, and the prices are affordable. The interior and furniture are neatly arranged. They actually have interesting pieces.

For today, we had garden salad (128), nachos overload (128), and cucumber lemon smoothie (99, medium size). Nachos overload has been our favorite. And the drink that I always order is their pandan lemon grass, but today, I tried their cucumber lemon smoothie, and I liked it.

For my birthday this year, I opted to have this yummy Pistachio Stardust from Purple Oven. This has been a family favorite for years. It is a sponge cake filled with whipped cream. The outside frosting is dusted with chopped pistachio nuts. It's soft and fluffy, and the frosting is just right, not too sweet and not too much.

As a baker myself, I prefer cakes with simple decorations but taste good. And this is one of the cakes that I love to eat over and over again.

Last Christmas, we had their ube cake. For New Year, we tried another flavor from Caramia Cakes & Gelato, the Mango Magnifico (1100p). It is a chiffon cake filled and topped with whipped cream and mango bits. There are bits of something brown in the filling which I think is caramel, but I'm not sure. The cake base is good - soft and fluffy. The frosting has the right sweetness. However, the first two layers of the cake were way too sweet for me. It looked like they were soaked with sweet liquid. For people who are watching their sugar levels like us, this isn't a good choice. Thus, we just shared it with others.

My son introduced J.Cool to me. This frozen yogurt from J.CO Donuts & Coffee, Philippines is fat free and comes in different servings - single, couple, and sharing. We had the "couple" which comes with three toppings of our choice. We chose almonds, blueberry jam, and KitKat. There was a lot of blueberry jam, and it was too sweet, so we didn't eat it all. The yogurt wasn't sour at all, so I enjoyed it.

I am not over with ube yet.

Today, I tried the ube champorado (105p) and duo halo-halo (solo, 89p) in Kuya J Restaurant. I love the milky taste of the ube champorado, but it was too sweet for me. Perhaps the powdered milk made it sweeter. The halo-halo was just right, and I liked the smooth shaved ice. Aside from leche flan, corn flakes, and ube as its toppings, there were sweetened saba, macapuno, langka, nata de coco, etc.

I love the interior and ambiance of every Kuya J Restaurant. It's very homey. The furniture and tableware are neatly arranged. The shelves hanged on the wall are the best background for every picture.

Claiming to be the best ube cake in town, we tried it ourselves. For our Noche Buena this year, we had the ube cake from Caramia Cakes & Gelato. People were busy a day before Christmas, so instead of visiting their store, we had the cake delivered at home. In stores, it costs 1,125p but with extra cost for deliveries.

The cake has the right sweetness (not too sweet). It has whipped cream filling and ube halaya. The ube chiffon as its base is soft. Overall, the cake is good, but of course, we need to eat it in moderation as most desserts are loaded with sugar.

After a long queue at the cashier in a mall, I was tired and thirsty, so I looked for something to drink. Here I found green tea latte from J.CO (Uno, 130p). For me, it has the right sweetness, but I can taste more milk than green tea. Nonetheless, it was good, and it didn't have any bitter aftertaste which I am looking for in a matcha drink. By the way, I was surprised to see that my drink came with a free donut. Thank you, J.CO Donuts & Coffee, Philippines!
