(‘Nutshell’ of Lesson 8 “Wisdom of Righteous Living.”
“Wisdom is a gift from God that is given to those whom He chooses and to those who ask Him for it in humble faith (1 Kings 3:12; Psalm 51:6; Proverbs 2:6; James 1:5-7).
W – (The) Word of God becomes the source of one’s delight, not just mere instruction. (John 1:1; 15:5, 7). A righteous person “walks” in the law of the LORD (Psalm 119:1), and “walks” in the light of His countenance (Psalm 89:15).
I – (Have an) “Intimate relationship with God” and a deep experience with the Creator. Cultivate it in your daily life. It fills your life with blessings (Psalm 119:1, 2; 128). It “implies” upholding God’s law (Psalm 89:15; 119:1), and “involves” seeking God with the whole heart (Psalm 119:1, 2, 10).
S – (The) “Secret of the LORD” is with those who fear Him, and He will “show them His covenant” (Psalm 25:14). It calls us to “serve the LORD our God” with all our heart, and with all our soul (Deuteronomy 10:12, 13).
D – “Depart from evil” (Job 28:28). Living in the fear of the Lord will bring great delight (Psalm 112:1).
O – “Obey God reverently” (Ecclesiastes 12:13). “Our thoughts” and “our faith” in God are revealed through loving-kindness and godly life.
M – (Exercise a) “Mature faith” that would guide us to make right choices and to be kind and fair to our neighbors.
The best choice we can make in life is to walk in the way of wisdom. To fear the Lord is to aspire to the highest spiritual attainment in our daily lives. Living in the fear of the Lord will bring great delight (Psalm 112:1).)
Kunana ijay Proverbs 16:16 (NIV)
"How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!" Wisdom in the Bible is worth a great deal, as scripture proclaims. This Bible verse about wisdom tells us that truth and insight are better than precious metals. What a gift the wisdom of God must be!
