It’s 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆!

Today, we commemorate and honor the National Flag of our country. The national emblem was first unfurled after the Philippine Revolutionary Army defeated the Spanish forces in the Battle of Alapan at Imus, Cavite in 1898.

The Philippine Flag represents the identity of the Filipinos. It symbolizes unity and reminds us of our shared heritage and values, and our Flag is a powerful reminder of our ancestors’ struggle for independence and sovereignty.

In line with the celebration of 2024 Month of the Ocean, Sangbay Integrated School Senior High School Department joins the Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Community Environment and Natural Resources Office-Nagtipunan, Quirino in the conduct of Clean-up Drive along Cagayan River at Sangbay, Nagtipunan, Quirino, Monday, May 20.

Along with the department's advocacy on the implementation of Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004 (RA 9275), the activity also aims to protect the country's water bodies from various pollution caused by industries and commercial establishments, agricultural and community or household activities.

ADVISORY

7 April 2024 - In order to allow learners to complete pending assignments, projects and other requirements, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on Monday, 8 April 2024.

Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their stations.

Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

Sangbay IS prioritizes preparedness and empower learners to respond effectively during emergencies.

In an effort to ensure safety and well-being of learners, Sangbay Integrated School, Nagtipunan North recently conducted an earthquake drill, March 22.

Through this proactive measure, the school aims to equip everyone with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond swiftly and safely during an actual earthquake.

Eleazar G. Tesorio, school head, expressed his satisfaction with the drill, stating, " It is crucial that our learners are prepared for any emergency situation. Through this earthquake drill, we are educating and empowering them to take control of their safety and make informed decisions during emergencies."

Marlon Meru, School DRRM Coordinator, said also that the drill serves as a reminder that preparedness is a shared responsibility among the school, students and their families.

As earthquakes can strike unexpectedly, the earthquake drill in schools serves as a proactive initiative to promote safety and resiliency.

In reference to DepED Memorandum No. 069, s. 2023 issued on November 17, 2023 titled Guidelines on the Implementation of the Project - "𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗗'𝘀 𝟮𝟯𝟲,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀- 𝗔 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻", Sangbay Integrated School, Nagtipunan North family participates in the simultaneous tree-planting activity today, December 6.

This 236k trees project serves as a gift from the department to ensure clean and green environment for Filipino children and future generations.

Moreover, this provides a unique educational opportunity for students to participate in tree-planting activities fostering a deeper understanding of environmental issues and promoting conservation efforts.

Eleazar Tesorio, school head, together with the teaching and non-teaching staff spearhead the activity with the participation of all learners including stakeholders.
