“At the signing, it provided such a momentum of light, and not for us, but for many troubled areas in the world. It is still seen because it took on so many lessons from our past experience with these processes, and also worldwide. It is still seen as embodying so much good practice. But we know that the signing of the agreement is one challenge. The bigger challenge is always implementing it, and that the M**F, as part of that agreement, we had said, should lead in the implementation.”

Ging Deles further shares insights into the impact of peace agreements, reflecting on the signing of the agreement and its significance as a beacon of hope for troubled regions worldwide. This agreement also draws from valuable lessons learned from past experiences and it underscores the ongoing challenge of implementation of the agreement.
