1. Sa pagpapalit pa lang ng mga positions (see no 2), hindi ba obvious na na-alarma sila at kinailangan nilang kumilos to stop MARCOLETA?

People on social media are buzzing about It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu’s clapback against Sen. Rodante Marcoleta.😱
It’s no secret that Kim Chiu is known for her bold statements online. Because of this outspoken nature, she often gets criticized by netizens, especially by DDS supporters who oppose her views.
The actress-host was first bashed by the public during the height of ABS-CBN’s ‘renewal issue’. This was due to her statement about the network giant supposedly complying with the law, but she failed to deliver it clearly. She ended up comparing it to school rules, saying “Sa classroom may batas, Bawal Lumabas.”
From there, the viral line “Bawal Lumabas” was born. Despite the mockery and criticism she faced, Kim was able to bounce back and even turned it into a song, which later gained millions of streams across digital platforms.
The second wave of criticism came when her ‘deserve’ spiel on It’s Showtime was misinterpreted by viewers. Many DDS fans believed it was a dig at former President Rodrigo Duterte’s arrest at NAIA on the night of March 11.
The latest incident before her clash with Marcoleta was her slip-up during the Sept. 10 episode of It’s Showtime, where she mispronounced the band name IV of Spades. Instead of “Four of Spades,” she read it as “Ay Vee of Spades.”
But it seems Kim is not yet done dealing with online backlash. Recently, she made another post, this time directed at Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, criticizing his style of investigating alleged anomalies in flood control projects.
On Sept. 23, Marcoleta had a heated exchange with Ping Lacson during a Senate hearing on the same issue. This may have prompted Kim to post on her X account (formerly Twitter).
Kim wrote:
“Marcoleta woke up and chose … he is always angry, always picking a fight. This is the same way he went all out pushing for ABS-CBN’s shutdown. It’s frustrating and heartbreaking to see the same darkness play out again. [angry emoji]
As a citizen, I can only hope and pray by the grace of God that this time accountability wins. Let the guilty face justice. Enough lies. Enough abuse. It’s time for the darkness to end.”
While writing this report, Kim had already deleted the post. Here are some of the netizens’ reactions:
One netizen said: “She most likely deleted it for PR purposes. Not only is Marcoleta namedropped, but also ABS-CBN. Kaya I don’t really blame her at all for deleting it, especially as a public figure. It’s the kind of post that should be kept to one’s private social media.”
Another added: “etong personality nya na to talaga ang gusto ko, unpredictable, unfiltered, and knows how to speak up if alam nyang may mali. Kabaligtaran ng sinasabi ng iba na sabaw sya pero NO, unfiltered lang talaga sya admit it or not may sense mga banat nya, she’s smart at lage pinaglalaban yung tama. Ang satisfying sana ng tweet, ibalik mo Kim Chiu tanggalin mo lang name ni markubeta at ng abs cbn. GO GIRL!”
