A Chinese kidnap victim was rescued through the intensified presence of the Batangas City Police Station personnel. This ended her 20-day ordeal in the hands of her abductors, PNP Chief, Police General Rodolfo S Azurin Jr. announced.
Azurin said, according to the womanโs Chinese boyfriend, in a statement given to PNP-AKG investigators, the 28-year old victim (name withheld) was last seen on the night of September 16 at the Hammer Disco Light Club, Brgy. Balibago, Angeles City with her friend (name withheld). However, at 12:24 AM on September 17, 2022, they were both seen leaving the premises of the building and went to an unknown location.
On September 18, 2022, an unknown caller called up victimโs boyfriend asking for money amounting to Two Million US Dollars (Php 116,000,000.00) and sent a video clip of the victim while being hit with a baseball bat in different parts of her body.
The Batangas City Police Station (BCPS), PRO4A was able to rescue the victim at a convenience store in Brgy. Alangilan, Batangas City. Further in coordination with the PNP AKG, BCPS Operatives responded to the report and was able to pinpoint the exact location where the victim was held by her kidnappers in Nueva Villa Subdivision Alangilan, Batangas City.
Some suspects are already identified and are now the subject of follow-up operations, the Chief PNP said.
The victim is now under the custody of the PNP AKG for proper investigation and documentation.
