For the people we call teachers, the ones who provide us knowledge and guidance, the ones who keep us from dangers and shield us from any impurity when our parents are busy providing for us. They are like our second parents in a sense simply because we spend a significant portion of our lives at school, learning and growing, so they play a vital role in shaping our development. On the final day of the Intramurals at Mount Moriah College Incorporated, the night was filled with dazzling performances of talent and crowning moments. The highlight of the evening was the 𝐌𝐫. & 𝐌𝐬. 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 competition, where the college's most charismatic and talented students took center stage. The candidates showcased their poise, intelligence, and athleticism, captivating the audience with their charm and grace. The competition was fierce, but in the end, the crown was taken home by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐨 and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐥 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐲 from the 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧.

The 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 competition was another highlight of the evening, with four teams showcasing their synchronized moves and impressive routines. The energy in the gymnasium was intense as the dance sporters performed their carefully choreographed routines, showcasing their athleticism, artistry, and teamwork. But ultimately, the 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚 team emerged victorious, leaving the audience breathless with their captivating performance.

The final day of the Intramurals was the perfect ending to a week filled with exciting competitions, inspiring moments, and a showcase of the diverse talents of the student body, proving their dedication to both academics and extracurricular activities. Indeed, Mount Moriah College Incorporated concluded a successful Intramurals 2024 event.

Mount Moriah College, Incorporated officially commenced its Intramurals with a vibrant opening ceremony that showcased the spirit of sportsmanship among the student body. From the colorful parade, where each team proudly displayed their colors, to the dynamic cheerdance competition, the campus filled with excitement as teams displayed unique routines and impressive dance skills.

The highlight of the opening ceremony was the crowning of the Intramurals Muse, where the atmosphere was filled with cheers and applause, a testament to the beauty and grace of the college community. The event concluded successfully, bringing together students and faculty to celebrate athleticism and school pride, setting the stage for an exciting and unforgettable Intramurals season.

𝙄𝙉 𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙏𝙊𝙎: The 4th year students from the College of Business Administration conducted a Financial Literacy Seminar themed "An investment in knowledge pays the best interest" on August 29, 2024, at the MMCI Audio-Visual Room. Students from ICI, CTU SF, professionals, out-of-school youth, and some parents attended the event. The seminar aimed to educate individuals, especially students, about various financial skills such as budgeting, saving, investing, and personal finance. With many young adults already burdened by impulsive spending and a shortfall of financial management skills, the seminar was organized and highlighted that these financial skills are crucial and necessary for achieving financial independence.

Every year, the national heroes' day is celebrated on the last Monday of August. This year, August 26th, is a day of celebration for the heroes who fought valiantly and defended our beloved country, even if it meant losing their lives. As a sign of respect and gratitude for what they have done, we students and every other individual are obligated to pray for their beloved souls and spread their miracles on this essential day. The most important thing that we should remember is what those heroes taught us: to have fortitude and to love our country with all our hearts.

At the center of our logo is an 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬, symbolizing the world of knowledge and stories we encounter every day. On the left page, you'll see a 𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳 — that's us, tirelessly crafting articles that inform, inspire, and provoke thought. On the right page, there's 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸, capturing voices and stories that need to be heard. This is our mission as journalists — to give a voice to the voiceless and shed light on the truth.

The letter '𝘌' stands proudly, representing our club, Excellence. But it's more than just a name. For us, excellence is a goal we pursue with every story we write, every interview we conduct, and every issue we publish.

Then there's the 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦. It's not just a symbol — it's the flame of our passion and the fearless drive we carry in our hearts. Journalism isn't always easy, but with that fire, we push forward, undeterred, determined to uncover the truth, no matter how challenging the journey.

The 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘴 in our logo hold special meaning. One represents our school, Mt. Moriah College Inc., a place that nurtures our minds and fuels our dreams. The other represents our club, a community where we grow, learn, and strive together to reach our full potential.

The 𝘊𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 – In addition to symbolizing the achievement of mind over body – the intangible triumph of the spirit – the crown can be seen as a representation of a halo, which in turn represents genius (Duncan, 2019). It typically symbolizes royal authority and power.

The 5 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 represent the Vision, Mission, Goals, Objectives, and Core Values.

The 𝘓𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭 𝘞𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 – Traditionally, it marks or symbolizes honor and triumph.

𝘎𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘳 – this color is often perceived as the color of power, purity, prestige, and enlightenment.

Finally, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 — a symbol of our aspirations. We believe that as the voice of the students, we must always aim high and soar, breaking boundaries and reaching new heights. The letter 'E' nestled between the wings is a reminder that to achieve excellence, we must always set our sights high and work together to reach our goals.
