Celebrating my small win for today! 😊

I was hesitant in submitting my first graphics of Canva elements, because I wanted it to be recolorable or in svg file. But then I reminded myself that rejections will always be a part of life, and if my submissions will be rejected, I'll just create more designs.

So, there I am, stepping out in faith, and gaining a bit of courage for myself, I uploaded my designs last Saturday and by Monday, viola! It's a big "THANK YOU,LORD! All my submissions are approved!"
(Well, hopefully the approval will not be retracted in the future)

Now, I am stoked to create more and better graphics for Canva!

Working with Color Palettes.

One of my struggles as a social media designer is choosing the right color combination. Good thing color palettes are available; It helps in establishing the color scheme for a brand; It helps in being consistent with all social media designs and being readily identifiable by the target market just by seeing the color schemes.

This line from a 2016 animated cartoon movie hits home. When you're on your lowest of lows, there's no other place that you can go, but to go up!

Just in case you are one of those who are starting out again, and things are a bit difficult (like it always does at the beginning), just keep going; keep moving forward, go up!

Someday, when you look back, hope you get to say,"I'm thankful for hitting rock bottom, because It taught me that I can always go back up!"

There are two ways you can learn from mistakes; learning from your own mistakes and learning from the mistakes of others. While the former can be inevitable and sometimes with repercussions like getting bruised and temporarily knocked down, It still helps to learn from others without the set backs that you get from your own mistakes. That way, you can avoid the repercussions and still learn.

We have the tendency to wait for the right moment, right place, right person, right resource or anything that we find necessary to move forward, before we start on our plans. Sadly, those "right" things don't come and thus we never get to start with our plans.

If you're like me who is also getting into freelancing, don't let gaps hinder you from starting! Get your feet wet and find yourself learning along the way, and gaining experience as you go.

Today, you need to decide that it's time to start. No need to wait for things to align. Just start!

What's your Purpose?

Part of your brand is knowing why you exist. It plays an important role since it serves as the direction that your brand is going to take.

I like how Raphael Bemporad, founding partner of BBMG, defines a brand's purpose.

Branding is really important, that's why before I go any further into developing Digitally Ryan, I've decided to dig deeper into understanding the branding process. Join me on this Journey!

Our first stop is understanding what brand means. Here's what I got from AMAZON's CEO, Jeff Bezos.
"Your brand is what other people say about you when you're not in the room."

Branding is more than the logo or the name. It's what lingers on the people after they found out about your existence. This is actually a good question to answer. What do I want my target market to remember about me?
