SIGLAKASAN 2024: As six days filled with competition took place at Divine Word College of Calapan's Basic Education Campus and Divine Word College of Calapan from December 3 to December 12, Family 4 BAKUNAWA earned its spot as First Runner Up in this year’s Siglakasan, holding 261 points against the other family teams and holding the Special Award for ‘Best in Cultural Events’.

Congratulations to Family 4 and to all the other family teams!

PISSAA 2024 | Table Tennis (Singles) representative Skyller Philip Garillo takes home CHAMPION with a fair victory against other competing schools yesterday at Sta. Rita, Pinamalayan.

As the competition began, Garillo took every win, with the scores 11-5 and 11-4 in his first match against Nabuslot National High School, 11-8 and 11-5 in his second against Pambisan National High School, and 5-11, 11-8, 15-13, 4-11, and 11-4 in his third against IHMA, earning him a ticket to the Provincial Meet next year.

As the rankings took place, Garillo returned with gold, winning his 2 final matches against Nabuslot National High School.

Mental Health Month celebration at DWCC-PC

With the facilitation of the school counselor, Ma'am Aira Jessica D. Leaño, the Mental Health Month celebration at Divine Word College of Calapan-Pinamalayan Campus was conducted today at 9:15 am, with the theme “Embracing Balance: Nurturing Mind, Body, and Spirit."

As the event continued, students learned new lessons, tips, advice, and such from the Mental Health Talk with speaker Sir Jhan Arno S. Sodayi, RGC, RPM, followed by activities from the prepared booths afterwards, making students thrilled with excitement as they also got to share their personal thoughts on a bulletin board and provided balloons.

DWCC-PC celebrates Teacher's Day

To celebrate the day dedicated to teachers around the world, the Divine World College of Calapan - Pinamalayan Campus celebrates Teacher's Day on October 2, 2024, at 8:30 am, welcoming all DWCC-PC teachers and non-teaching staff, including Ma'am Sarah Roque, Ma'am Lealyn Poblete, Ma'am Ellaine Mascariñas, and Ma'am Emily Fadrilan, as well as Ma'am Vernadeth Toralba and Ma'am Aizel Madrigal, honoring the teachers who guided and nurtured the Southern Horizon students since their Grade 11 year. As heartfelt speeches and games filled the day, students also expressed their gratitude through a special dance performance by the Cultural Club and by hosting various activities for both teachers and students to enjoy, such as Hep Hep Hooray, Quiz Bee, and Spin the Wheel. The day then concluded with gift giving, picture taking, and lunch per section.

Buwan ng Wika at Pagsasapanlipunan (Socialization) 2024

Ipinagdiriwang ang Buwan ng Wika 2024 na may temang “Filipino, Wikang Mapagpalaya”, at Pagsasapanlipunan "Socialization Day" noong ika-29 ng Agosto 2024 sa DWCC-PC, na may kasamang mga palaro, patimpalak: sinasalitang tula, paggawa ng poster, paggawa ng slogan, at iba pa. Idinaraos rin sa araw na ito ang mga aktibidad upang ihikayat ang mga Divinistas sa pagtutulungan at pakikiisa.

Nang matapos ang mga palaro sa pang-umaga, nagbitaw ng mahahalagang mensahe ang punong g**o na si Ma'am Mary Jane D. Castillo, LPT, Ph.D, kung saan pinag hugutan nya ang kahalagahan ng wika gamit ang katagang 'H.E.L.L.O', at ang iba pang mga tagapangasiwa.

Pagkatapos ng masaganang kainan noong hapon, masayang nagsagawa ng pangwakas na aktibidad ang mga estyudyanteng Divinistas nang muli itong naglaro. Sa pahuling bahagi, inanunsyo ang mga nanalo sa bawat aktibidad, kung saan inihayag ang pagpanalo ng Pulang grupo at sa pag-ikalawa ng grupong Asul.

The Start Of Something Vibrant: DWCC-PC Opens the Door for an Exciting New Academic Journey. On a crisp, sunny morning, the DWCC-PC campus was filled with energy and excitement as students, both returning and new, gathered in the bustling quadrangle. To mark the start of the school year, the grade 12 students delivered an electrifying performance that left newcomers dazzled and impressed. As the event concluded, cheers and applause filled the air, signifying not only the kickoff of another academic year, but a celebration of community and unity. This event set the tone for an inspirational year ahead at DWCC-PC.
