A triumphant back-to-back win for Family 4 Hiligaynon Blue Eagles as they were hailed as the Overall SIGLAKASAN 2023 Champion with 321 points at the St. Joseph Freinademetz Campus gymnasium, December 13.

Family 1 (Green Tamaraw) came in first place with 317 points. Family 2 (Yellow Tarsier) received 306 points for third place, while Family 3 (King Cobra) received 314 points for second runner-up position.

Family 4 Hiligaynon Blue Eagles representatives Bheanca Flores and Prince Araja stepped their way at 1st place in the Standard Category - Dance Sports Competition this late afternoon. Flores and Araja put on a spectacular performance that has captivated the attention of the roaring crowds. It was a fierce competition that was participated by different talented Divinistas and Family 4 representatives were no exception in showcasing their talent and skills in this said event.

The results were ended with a 3-1 which secured the Hiligaynon Blue Eagle their win toward the opposing team..

On December 10th, the incredible duo of Mc Denver Labog and Samuel Acedera displayed their skills by securing a second place finish in the Boys Doubles category. Their journey was filled with ups and downs starting with a 21-8 victory in the opening game followed by a nail biting 21-20 triumph on the next. The championship match, against family 2 proved to be a battle as Labog and Acedera fought with determination but narrowly lost both games by scores of 18-21.

Erika Mandia and Reese Magluyan, Hiligaynon Blue Eagle representatives in Badminton Doubles Girls, snagged four podium finishes versus Family 2, 3 and 1 with leads of 21-17, 20-21, and 21-4. Mandiaʼs pairing with Magluyan resulted in gold finish after defeating Arapaap Red Cobra during the Championship (Best 2 of Three) with gains of 21-19, 13-21, 21-4.

Family 4 Sepak Takraw, consisting of Araja, Fetizanan, and Miranda, secured their gold medals as they hungrily kicked the ball to victory. The game was held at the Sepak Takraw Court open ground on the DWCC St. Arnold Janssen Campus on December 9, 2023.

During the first match in a shady afternoon at the Sepak Takraw Court between Family 4 and Family 2, Family 4 was defeated by Family 2 with a score of 10-15. However, despite losing to Family 2 on the first game, Family 4 still manages to have their comeback win with their match with Family 3 on their second game and gather a wide-gap score of 15-6 that led them to the championship game.

The championship game was another match with Family 2. The first score was taken by Family 2, but eventually the Family 4 Blue Eagles took the lead to 5. The match was a close one between the two families, wherein the scores tied six times when they scored 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, and 12. At the end, Family 4 are the champions with a final score of 15-13.

Skyler Garillo, Hiligaynon Blue Eagleʼs representative in Table Tennis Singles Boys, takes home silver with a fair victory against the other competents.

Within the first set, Garillo takes the win with the score of 11:6, and 11:4, against family three's representative, Reyniel Clyde Escober.

The second set may have ended with a close match against family one's representative, Xian Kyle Abaja with the score 10:11, 11:7, and 7:11, but Garillo fights back, winning his third set against family two's representative John Oscar Basilan with 11:6, and 11:5.

As the championship arrives, Garillo returns with silver, placing second place against Abaja with the scores 8:11, 11:8, and 10:11.

As the pre-games of Siglakasan 2023 of the Divine Word College of Calapan begins, Hiligaynon Blue Eagle takes home champion for Table Tennis Singles Girls today.

Family 4 Table Tennis Singles Girls representative, Charlotte Enriquez, arrives at DWCC's main campus, smashing champion in the Siglakasan 2023 Table Tennis Singles Girls. She firsts hits off with her first game, ruling the first set against family two's representative, Yunika De Guzman, with 11-5, 11-1.

As second game arrives, Enriquez switfly wins with no sweat, scoring 11:0, and another 11:0 continuously against family one's representative, Chiara Lalong-isip.

And finally, entering the championship, Enriquez takes home Gold with 11:1, and 11:4, winning once more against current silver holder, Yunika De Guzman from family two.

On a crisp, sunny morning, the DWCC-PC campus was filled with energy and excitement as students, both returning and new, gathered in the bustling quadrangle. To mark the start of the school year, the grade 12 students delivered an electrifying performance that left newcomers dazzled and impressed. As the event concluded, cheers and applause filled the air, signifying not only the kickoff of another academic year, but a celebration of community and unity. This event set the tone for an inspirational year ahead at DWCC-PC.
