“DO NOT FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLY-HEB 10:25”,

The Bible clearly teaches that gathering together on the first day of the week (Sunday) is necessary and important for all saved people.

1. The First Day of the Week Worship

Acts 20:7

“And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”

The early church gathered on Sunday for preaching, fellowship, and the Lord’s Supper.

1 Corinthians 16:2

“Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.”

Giving and worship were done collectively on Sunday.

2. The Example of Jesus’ Resurrection

Mark 16:9

“Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.”

Jesus rose on Sunday, making it a special day for Christians.

John 20:19

“Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”

The resurrected Christ appeared to His disciples on Sunday when they were assembled.

3. The Command Not to Forsake Assembling

Hebrews 10:25

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Believers are commanded not to neglect gathering together.

4. The Lord’s Day

Revelation 1:10

“I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet.”

The “Lord’s Day” (Sunday, the day of Christ’s resurrection) was already recognized as a special day of worship in the early church.

* These verses together teach that:

The first day of the week was the chosen day of gathering for Christians.

Worship, hymnal singing, preaching, giving, fellowship, were practiced on this day.

God commands us not to forsake assembling, making Sunday worship necessary for all saved people.

FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK

“Sunday worship service”,

The Bible clearly teaches that gathering together on the first day of the week (Sunday) is necessary and important for all saved people.

1. The First Day of the Week Worship

“SOULWINNING IS OUR MAIN PURPOSE”,
it clearly teaches that one of the chief reasons God saved us is so we would bring others to Christ.

Proverbs 11:30

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”

- Soulwinning is described as wisdom and fruitfulness — showing its importance in the life of the righteous.

Matthew 4:19

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

- Jesus directly connects following Him with reaching souls.

Matthew 28:19–20 (The Great Commission)

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

- Our mission after salvation is to go, teach, baptize, and disciple.

Mark 16:15

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

- Christ commanded His followers to spread the gospel universally.

Luke 19:10

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

- Jesus’ own purpose was seeking the lost, and we are called to continue His mission.

Acts 1:8

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

- The Spirit empowers believers to be witnesses — soulwinning is a Spirit-filled believer’s task.

2 Corinthians 5:18–20

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

- Every Christian is given the ministry of reconciliation — leading people back to God.

Romans 10:14–15

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

- People can only be saved if someone shares the gospel — that’s our mission.

These verses show that after salvation, our main purpose is to glorify God by reaching others with the gospel, bringing them to Christ, and making disciples.

PRAYER MEETING IS NECESSARY

1. The Early Church Gathered in Prayer

Acts 1:14 – “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.”

The very first church meeting after Jesus’ ascension was a prayer meeting.

Acts 2:42 – “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

Prayer was a core part of church life, not optional.

Acts 4:31 – “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”

United prayer gave them power and boldness for ministry.

2. Prayer Was the Church’s Response in Trials

Acts 12:5 – “Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.”

The church gathered for urgent, united prayer when Peter was imprisoned.

Acts 16:25 – “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.”

Even in chains, believers met together to pray and praise.

3. Corporate Prayer is Commanded

Matthew 18:19–20 – “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Jesus promises His presence when believers gather in prayer.

1 Timothy 2:1 – “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.”

Public prayer is a priority in church life.

4. Prayer Meetings Strengthen the Church

Hebrews 10:24–25 – “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is...”

Prayer meetings are part of not forsaking the assembly, strengthening one another in faith.

Colossians 4:2 – “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.”

Prayer is not only personal but also corporate watching together.

Ctto: Preacher Pop's Villarisa

"What Our Pastor Would Love Us to Catch"

From Elisha’s hand the arrows fly,
A lesson deep, from days gone by.
To strike with zeal, not once—but more,
That God’s great power might outpour.

Catch the same zeal, with fervent flame,
Not slowing down, nor growing tame.
Press on with joy, endure the test,
With burning hearts, give God our best.

Catch the same commitment, true,
All-out devotion in all we do.
Stand by the pastor, firm and near,
Serve with faith, and never fear.

Catch the same vision, clear and bright,
To bring more souls from death to light.
With eyes on Christ, the work we’ll see,
“Let’s do it now!”—our earnest plea.

Catch the same power, heaven’s might,
God’s Spirit guides both day and night.
Not by our strength, but His we trust,
To labor on because we must.

The church must rise, the gospel spread,
To every land where souls have fled.
Thank God for men and women too,
Who stand with leaders, strong and true.

So let us keep the vision near,
And make it real through love sincere.
Always consider family’s call,
And serve the Lord who gave His all.

This is what our pastor longs,
That we’d be faithful, brave, and strong.
To catch, to keep, to live, to share,
Until we see Christ’s glory there.

Dispensationalism today is wrongly divide the word of TRUTH.

1. Romans 3:31 – Paul: Faith Establishes the Law

> “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”

Faith in Christ does not abolish the law but confirms its truth and purpose.

The law condemns sin and points us to the need for a Savior.

Paul says faith establishes (Greek: histēmi = to uphold, confirm, set firmly) the law’s role.

If the law had no relevance for believers, Paul would have said faith cancels it. But he says the opposite.

2. Matthew 5:17 – Jesus: The Law Fulfilled, Not Destroyed

> “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

Jesus explicitly denies abolishing the law.

“Fulfil” (plēroō) means to complete, bring to fullness, or carry out perfectly.

Christ embodies the righteousness the law required and shows its ultimate goal.

→ If Hyper-Dispensationalism were true, Jesus’ teaching here would have no bearing on the Church. But Paul echoes this same truth in Romans 3:31, proving Christ’s words are binding on all believers.

3. Galatians 3:24 – The Law as Our Schoolmaster

> “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.”

The law’s role is pedagogical—it teaches us our sin and drives us to Christ.

Once faith comes, we’re no longer under the law’s condemnation, but the law has already done its job.

This verse shows continuity: Old Testament law + New Testament faith both serve the same salvation plan in Christ.

4. The Combined Witness

Jesus (Matthew 5:17): He fulfilled the law, not destroyed it.

Paul (Romans 3:31): Faith doesn’t void the law; it establishes it.

Paul again (Galatians 3:24): The law was meant to lead us to Christ for justification by faith.

5. Refuting Hyper/Ultra-Dispensationalism

1. One Plan, Not Two
Salvation has always been by grace through faith, grounded in Christ (Romans 3:29–30). Hyper-dispensationalism wrongly divides Israel’s salvation and the Church’s salvation into separate systems.

2. Unity Between Jesus and Paul
Jesus (Matthew 5:17) and Paul (Romans 3:31; Galatians 3:24) teach the same truth: the law finds its fulfillment in Christ and in faith. Hyper-dispensationalists claim Paul preached a “different gospel” later on, but Scripture shows harmony.

3. The Whole Bible Is For Us
Hyper-dispensationalists often downplay or reject the Gospels and the law for the Church. But Paul himself uses the law to teach believers (Romans 7; Galatians 3), showing the Old Testament is still spiritually profitable (cf. 2 Timothy 3:16).

Therefore, the 3-fold witness proves:

The law, the prophets, the gospels, and Paul’s letters are one continuous revelation.

Salvation has always been through faith in Christ, not in separate dispensations with separate rules.

Hyper/Ultra-Dispensationalism contradicts both Jesus and Paul.

DISPENSATIONALISTS TODAY WRONGLY DIVIDES THE WORD OF Truth

Romans 3:31 (KJV):

“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”

1. Context of Romans 3

Paul is answering objections about justification by faith apart from the works of the law (Romans 3:20, 28). Some accused him of undermining the law of Moses, but Paul clarifies that faith does not cancel out the law—it fulfills its true purpose.

The Law’s purpose: to reveal sin (Romans 3:20; Galatians 3:24).

Faith’s role: to bring sinners to Christ, the fulfillment of the law (Romans 10:4).

So, far from destroying the law, the gospel upholds its purpose and shows how it leads to Christ.

2. Expounding Romans 3:31

“Do we then make void the law through faith?”
Paul raises the natural objection: “If we are justified by faith apart from works, doesn’t that cancel the law?”

“God forbid” (μη γένοιτο): strongest Greek denial—“Absolutely not!”

“Yea, we establish the law.”
Faith confirms the law’s demands. How?

1. By acknowledging its righteous requirements (the law condemns sin).

2. By showing that Christ fulfilled the law perfectly (Matthew 5:17).

3. By producing a new obedience in believers through the Spirit (Romans 8:4).

Thus, justification by faith proves the law was right all along: sinners need righteousness outside themselves, which only Christ supplies.

3. How This Refutes Hyper- and Ultra-Dispensationalism

Hyper-Dispensationalism (or Ultra) wrongly divides the Bible, teaching:

The law and Old Testament are only for Israel.

The gospels are not for the Church today.

Only Paul’s later epistles are binding for the Church.

Sometimes they even claim water baptism, the Lord’s Supper, or even the four gospels don’t apply to us.

But Romans 3:31 destroys that view:

1. Paul himself ties faith in Christ to the law’s validity.
Paul does not dismiss the law as irrelevant to the Church. Instead, he shows that justification by faith establishes the law’s truth and authority.
→ If Hyper-dispensationalists were right, Paul would have said: “Yes, faith makes the law void, because that was only for Israel.” But he said the opposite.

2. The continuity of God’s plan.
The law, the gospels, and Paul’s epistles all harmonize around Christ. The law points forward to Christ; the gospel proclaims Christ; Paul explains Christ.
→ Hyper-dispensationalism fractures this unity.

3. Faith unites Jew and Gentile under one plan of salvation.
In Romans 3:29–30 Paul argues that both Jew and Gentile are justified the same way—by faith.
→ This shows God has one way of salvation, not two programs (law vs. faith, Israel vs. Church).

4. Paul does not reject the gospels.
Jesus said: “I came not to destroy the law, but to fulfill” (Matthew 5:17). Paul says the same (Romans 3:31).
→ To claim the gospels and Paul’s teaching contradict each other is to ignore their unity.

4. Conclusion

Romans 3:31 proves:

The law is not abolished but upheld in Christ.

Faith and the law are not enemies—the law is fulfilled and confirmed by faith.

Salvation has always been one plan: by grace, through faith, pointing to Christ.

Therefore, Hyper- and Ultra-Dispensationalism are wrong because they create divisions in God’s Word that Paul himself rejects.
