The CUP Writers' Guild, founded in 2023, celebrates the incredible journey of its pioneering members who, despite personal commitments and challenging schedules, have given their all to serve the University and their colleges. Today, we proudly honor their remarkable milestone—earning licenses in their respective fields.

Introducing Mr. John Ronniel G. Lomerio, RN, the first-ever representative from the College of Nursing and School of Midwifery (CONM), and his batchmate, Ms. Princess S. Manic, RN, both of whom contributed significantly as part of the journalists' team during the Guild's first year. We also recognize Mr. Jim Boy G. Guardiana, LPT, a key figure in the Guild’s early years, whose articles made a lasting impact.

The City University of Pasay (CUP), together with its Student-Governing Organization (SGO) and Student-Mandated Organization (SMO), participated in the World AIDS Day - HIV Awareness seminar with the theme 'Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Rights,' on December 9, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the CUP Ground Floor.

This initiative aims to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, promote safe practices, and encourage regular testing to combat the spread of the virus.

PROCESS OF ENROLLMENT
THE STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟭: 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗥'𝗦 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘
Students will go to the Registrar’s Office to request an “evaluation form” to confirm if grades have been posted for their enrolled subjects in the first semester of Academic Year 2024-2025.

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟮: 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗡
After grade evaluation, students will proceed to their College Dean’s office for sectioning and scanning. Sectioning will verify their class schedule, while scanning will confirm the subjects they are enrolling in for the second semester. Certificate of Enrollment will be given by the College Dean.

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟯: 𝗣𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣
Students enrolled in PATHFIT and NSTP subjects must visit the said office for further schedule.

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟰: 𝗜𝗧 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘
After obtaining the signed COE from Steps 1 through 3, students will proceed to the IT Department to verify their names on the NEO LMS and Unifast list.

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟱: 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗖
Next, students must visit the school clinic for a medical assessment to monitor their health status.

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟲: 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘
Students who submitted their papers for Financial Assistance (FA) in October 2024 must proceed to the Guidance Counseling Office to verify if their names are in the FA application database, new applicants must submit the needed requirements.

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟳: 𝗖𝗦𝗖 𝗙𝗘𝗘
Students are to pay the CSC fee of ₱100.00 student-led programs, events, and activities. This fee will mainly be used to fund the projects of student council officers and other organizations managed by the City University of Pasay government council.

After completing the COE with signatures from all the offices in Steps 1 through 7, students must submit the final COE to the Registrar’s Office.

𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘: At each step of the enrollment process, students are required to obtain the signatures of authorized personnel from each office on their Certificate of Enrollment (COE) for the Academic Year 2024-2025. These signatures must be placed on the back of the COE.

On December 6, 2024, the Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) Amphitheater, 4th floor was filled with inspiration and learning as the City University of Pasay (CUP) Student Government Organization (SGO) and Student Mandated Organization (SMO) held the first day of their leadership training and seminar. Under the theme "CUPian Leader: Leading With Excellence, Unity, Integrity".

The seminar featured three respected speakers who shared ideas to guide future leaders. Prof. Linda Cangayao, Program Head at The National Teachers College (NTC), talked about “Unity in Diversity” and the importance of working together and accepting differences. Dean Kenneth Nyl Oresco from the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) encouraged everyone to aim for success in his talk on “Commitment to Excellence.” Lastly, Mr. Dan Galang, RGC, a mental health coach and counselor, shared the importance of being honest and professional in his talk on “Professionalism and Integrity.” Their words inspired a day full of learning and growth.

The City University of Pasay (CUP) took part in the Praise Awards 2024, or the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence. The program was held on December 5, 2024 at the Cuneta Astrodome at 9:30 am.

The awarding ceremony highlighted the excellence of the Pasay Public Servants and Employees as they reached 10 years in service, 15, 20, up to those who reached 5 years to 45 years of public service. There were also special awards for Katangi-tanging Manggagawa Award under Individual and Group Category, and Special Citation Award for certain groups who excelled their service in Pasay.

The University President, Dr. Rosanie F. Estuche was one of the awardees in this event, together with the Vice Presidents, Dr. Maribel R. Gabuat for Academic Affairs, Prof. Martin Elwood S. Rivera for Administration, Engr. Rommel Hernandez for Finance and Planning, University Registrar, Prof. Cleofe T. Castor and Dr. Alan Balangon, and Prof. Eroll Beja. Also, some of the faculty members were present and recognized for their public service.

Various institutions and groups of people also joined the said parade, celebrating the 161st Pasay Day, including: SM Mall of Asia, NU MOA, Philippine National Bank, Star City, Met Park, Jollibee, Meralco, Oishi, MBC Media Group, Newport World Resorts, Taugoma Riders, LCR Alliance Movement, Benjas, Landbank, Liga ng mga Barangay, and more. Some officials of Pasay City were also seen in the parade, celebrating with the Pasayeños.

This year’s celebration of the Pasay Day was truly meaningful as Pasayeños united and showed their love for our beloved Pasay City. It is a reflection of the city’s vibrant community.
