Sa pangunguna ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd), halina’t makiisa sa taunang pagdiriwang ng Pambansang Buwan ng Pagbasa ngayong Nobyembre.

Hangad ng taunang selebrasyon na maisulong ang kahalagahan ng panitikan at pagbabasa. Nilalayon din nitong mas paghusayin pa ang kasanayan sa pagbasa ng mga Pilipinong mag-aaral upang mas mapabuti pa ang kanilang pagkatuto.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

11 November 2023 - The entire Schools Division of Taguig City and Pateros mourns the loss of our dearly departed learners of Signal Village National High School. The sudden loss of life in a tragic way has shaken our core. Our sincerest sympathies to the families.

SDO TaPat has been cooperating with PNP Taguig City for the swift result of the investigation in relation to this incident.

Rest assured that SDO TaPat has been closely coordinating with LGU Taguig City, along with DepEd NCR and the Central Office, for intervention programs such as Psychological First Aid among teachers, learners, and non – teaching personnel of the school concerned beginning on Monday, November 13, 2023.

This office also commits to intensify its efforts to closely monitor all schools and carry out preventive measures for this tragic incident not to happen again with the support of our partners.

Advisory

Since major Taguig transport groups have given the assurance they will not be joining the scheduled nationwide strike by Manibela on Monday, Oct. 16, classes in the City are NOT SUSPENDED tomorrow.

Nevertheless, tents will be put up in 14 areas in the City, including the EMBO barangays, with composite teams on standby to assist commuters. Depending on the need, vehicles may be deployed to offer free rides.

We shall make further announcements should there be any development.
