Today is the last commercial flight of AirAsia Philippines ( Z2 ) at Davao International Airport after almost 15 years of flying to the Durian Capital of the Philippines.

Thank you AirAsia hoping to see once again at DVO/RPMD

GOOD NEWS: 🚨 Starting March 1, 2025, Philippine Airlines (PAL) will increase its Clark-Busuanga (Coron) flights from four times a week to daily service. This enhancement aims to meet the rising demand for leisure travel to Northern Palawan, especially with the upcoming summer season. 

The daily flights are scheduled as follows:
• Flight PR 2678: Departs Clark at 3:45 PM, arriving in Busuanga at 4:45 PM.
• Flight PR 2679: Departs Busuanga at 5:15 PM, arriving in Clark at 6:20 PM.

These flights will utilize the 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft, known for its near-jet speeds and quieter cabin experience. 

With this expansion, PAL will operate a total of 42 weekly flights to Busuanga, including:
• Three daily flights between Manila and Busuanga.
• Two daily flights between Cebu and Busuanga.

This initiative is part of PAL’s broader strategy to strengthen its domestic network and support tourism growth. According to PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang, the upgrade to daily flights will help make fares more affordable and travel more convenient for both foreign and domestic tourists.

Cebu Pacific is moving the trips of its smaller planes to Clark by March 30, in line with government's directive to move flights of turboprop planes to decongest NAIA.

GOODBYE MANILA - SIARGAO - MANILA, HELLO CLARK - SIARGAO - CLARK

Due to the recent directive of the Manila Slot Coordination Committee (MSCC), Cebu Pacific is gradually moving its turboprop flights from Manila to Clark. Starting March 30, 2025, all flights from Manila to Siargao and Masbate will be relocated to Clark.

The affected flights are:
**Manila - Siargao - Manila:** DG 6837/6838, DG 6839/6840, and DG 6841/6842
**Manila - Masbate - Manila:** DG 6177/6178

The new flights will be:
**Clark - Siargao - Clark:** DG 6759/6760 and DG 6761/6762
**Clark - Masbate - Clark:** DG 6171/6172

On a positive note, this change is expected to increase passenger traffic at Clark International Airport, which is significantly more beautiful than Manila's airport but remains underutilized. I hope the land transportation system in Clark is improved soon, not only for travel from Manila to Clark but also for connections from CRK to nearby areas.

PAGADIAN CITY | Philippine Airlines Ends Operations at Pagadian Airport

After nearly five years of serving Pagadian City and its neighboring areas, Philippine Airlines (PAL) has officially ceased its operations at Pagadian Airport. The final flight, PR 2784, departed on January 14, 2025, at 5:05 PM (1705H), carrying 58 passengers.

This marked the end of PAL's connection to the city, which began with the aim of providing greater accessibility and convenience to travelers in the region.

The decision to discontinue the service was primarily driven by the consistently low passenger volume, which made the route unsustainable in the long run.

Despite efforts to maintain the service, the airline faced challenges in generating sufficient demand to justify continued operations.

Philippine Airlines expressed its gratitude to the people of Pagadian and nearby areas for their support throughout the years.

The airline remains committed to serving the Mindanao region through other routes and will continue exploring opportunities to connect more destinations across the country.
