Typhoon Yolanda Story Hub Visayas

Typhoon Yolanda Story Hub Visayas is a Citizen Journalism Portal created on Nov. 13, 2013 by a group of veteran journalists, mobile journalists, student writers, and photography & video enthusiasts based in Iloilo City. The Story Hub was formed after several provinces in the island of Panay, despite being equally damaged as that of Tacloban, Leyte, were not getting aid for lack of media coverage.

The purpose of the members of Typhoon Yolanda Story Hub Visayas is to write and shoot the stories behind the stories in the aftermath of the typhoon and bring to the media and the public the need for assistance in these neglected areas. Mobile journalism and traditional media will be used to send stories to local papers, news organizations, blogs, websites and other media.
