OFFICE OF THE COO Memorandum No: 2020-006
TO: PHINMA Araullo University SHS Students and Parents

Dear PHINMA Araullo University SHS students and parents,

Thank you for your feedback on FlexLearning@PHINMAEd, our plan for conducting classes for SHS in SY2020-2021. We admire your commitment to continue your education, and acknowledge the challenges we still need to overcome.

That's why we are excited to share with you solutions we are developing to address your main concerns:

1. INTERNET SUPPORT

PHINMA Education partners with a leading telecommunications company to provide you with 10GB of mobile data every month. With no additional charge, you would be able to communicate and learn with your teachers and classmates on Facebook and Messenger.

2. DEVICE SUPPORT

PHINMA Education partners with one of the largest mobile phone companies to offer a new smartphone at a deeply discounted price. This is not a requirement, but an available option if you do need a new unit.

We will provide more information on these programs as we finalize the details. Again, we assure you that the SHS program will not have face-to-face classes until the DepEd and the LGU declare it safe to meet in person. Please continue to give us feedback. Let's continue to work together to develop practical solutions to help our families and communities through Covid-19, and provide the quality education our students deserve.

Thank you for your trust in PHINMA Education.

DFA Releases Updated Infographics on Travel Bans and Restrictions

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) released today updated Travel Restrictions infographics with new updates from more than 10 countries across the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

These new updates were from Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mali, and Mauritania; and still covered most countries/areas where Filipinos may travel. Moreover, countries included in the current infographics are home to majority of our overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

As these infographics are meant to both inform Filipinos who are allowed to leave the Philippines such as OFWs with work visas and contracts, returning resident, PH diplomat/ government official going to post or on official travel as well as those OFWs who are allowed to return to the Philippines based on foreign countries’ regulations, the DFA, through its Foreign Service Posts, shall endeavor to constantly coordinate with host governments to update these infographics and provide assistance to our nationals.

DFA emphasized that it is always best for the traveler to check ahead of travel dates with the airlines that will be used as well as with relevant Embassies or Consulates before departure or before booking a ticket.

Updated infographics may be accessed through this link - https://dfa.gov.ph/dfa-news/statements-and-advisoriesupdate/27011-public-advisory-travel-bans-and-restrictions-update.

Please note that this information is subject to change without prior and sufficient public notice.

Travelers, even with valid visas or confirmed flights, should consult with relevant Embassies or Consulates of the destination country and ports of transit before booking the ticket. It is always best to check ahead of travel dates with the airlines that will be used for departure.

The DFA will strive to update this advisory as needed.

This Travel Bans and Restrictions Update is prepared in response to queries received by the Department on its social media accounts and to provide guidance to all Filipinos intending to travel to and from the Philippines.

The DFA encourages all Filipinos traveling out from and returning to the Philippines to refer and be initially guided by the following Travel Restrictions imposed by countries across the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
