As we close another incredible year, we reflect on the milestones, challenges, and triumphs that have shaped our school community. This year was filled with inspiring stories of learning, resilience, and innovation.

Our NCnian students excelled in academics and Licensure Examinations. Talented artists, musicians, and performers wowed us in all events. Our sports teams showed teamwork and determination. Lastly, through service projects, research and extension activities, we demonstrated the power of compassion and collaboration.

Today, we commemorate the life and works of Dr. José Rizal, our National Hero as he lived a life of fidelity and devotion to the freedom of his country. His dedication inspired a movement to free the Philippines from colonialism at the time, and still inspires Filipinos to be patriotic and to harness our unwavering love for the country today.

The Intelligencer's The Minter stands with not just Rizal but all the martyrs and heroes before us and with us who prove that the truth and the press will always be for the country. As student journalists, may we continue to assert our rights, and may his life and fight for genuine freedom inspire us to live up to the genuine definition of patriotism.

WATCH: College of Nursing in collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts conducted a seminar dubbed "Building Inclusive Communities: Addressing Violence Against Women and SOGIE Individuals" held at NC Function Hall, December 17 in support of the 2024 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women.

Congratulations to Mr. Jexter Calaustro Luis for passing the December 2024 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (LECPA).

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 3,058 out of 10,136 examinees passed the said examination.

LOOK: In support of the 2024 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, Northeastern College through the College of Nursing and in collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts conducted a seminar dubbed "Building Inclusive Communities: Addressing Violence Against Women and SOGIE Individuals" held at NC Function Hall, December 17.

The program aimed to address the pervasive issue of violence against women and individuals within the SOGIE community and promote awareness, provide legal and practical tools for prevention and response, and create safe spaces for dialogue on gender-based violence and discrimination.

Madam Judith B. Lutrania, Dean of the College of Nursing commenced the program with her opening message emphasizing the importance of gender equality and the promotion of ending violence against women and the SOGIE community.

Madam Jhuna Fernando discussed the highlights of SOGIE Equality Bill while Atty. Kevin Villamor elaborated on the objectives and contents of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.

Moreover, Ms. Maricel Abrasaldo, faculty of the Nursing program and one of the instructors in charge of the program ended the activity by saying "VAW bigyang wakas, ngayon na ang oras".

A signature campaign was also done as a sign of a collective effort to end violence against women and support to gender equality.
