We like to share a special project that we worked on earlier this year and we think that it's very timely this coming Mother's Day. Our team is proud to have played a small part in producing this video. But the main highlight for us is meeting Alma, Joy and Brenda. These strong women who turned their adversities into meaningful advocacy are truly inspiring. We've spent half a day talking to these women. We laughed, we cried, drank beer together, and we are thankful to them for trusting us. It's not every day that we get to help shed light on these unknown but important stories in our community here in Olongapo City.

Special thanks to Our Grandfather Story for their patience, trust, and guidance and for making sure we do justice in telling these important stories and providing a safe platform for the women of Buklod Center. ❤️

Calling all cats and dog lovers! 🐕🐈

There are over 1000 stray and in SBMA, Olongapo City, Philippines. They are constantly increasing due to a lack of population control. Most of the cats and dogs here have become sick and malnourished. The only way to help them is to conduct a Trap Neuter and Release (TNR) programme.

Please help us raise funds to support our two-day TNR programme. The funds will be used to feed the cats and dogs during their recovery period. A portion of the funds will also be used for operational and transport expenses leading up to the event.

In 2020, Gabi and Donn wanted to escape the pandemic and the city, so they moved to a beach in Cabangan, Zambales. Little did they know that this will change their lives.

Being avid surfers, they would clean up the beach every day before surfing. "The ocean is our playground, and you can't surf in a dirty ocean, you can't surf in something that's been destroyed permanently.", Gabi shares passionately during our interview.

As the days went by, they realized that cleaning up a massive beach is not an easy task to do on a daily basis. But they also noticed these kids every day, watching them surf and are seemingly interested in surfing.

"We realized all these kids have been saying hi to us. They wanna learn how to surf. You see them in this little plywood, using that as their boogie boards and surfboard. So we made a compromise, Hey, we'll teach you how to surf, help us pick the trash", as Donn shares how Alon and Araw started.

Today, Alon & Araw Club Zambales have expanded beyond . They are now a registered non-profit that focuses on accessibility, protection, and personal development for disadvantaged of coastal communities in Zambales. Watch their story here: https://fb.watch/fqvI6txGAh/
