The NVSU Extension and Training Program conducted its first meeting for the Coordinators of Bambang Campus to discuss strategies on how to accomplish Extension and Training deliverables for the year 2021.

The College of Business Education continues to roll out activities for the on-going project, "A Community-Based Enterprise on Instant Tilapia Cream Soup Production and Commercialization". The project is funded by DA-BAR through the DA-ACEF Program.

A Seminar-Workshop on Awareness on Food Safety and HACCP was held on January 18-19, 2021 at the Agriculture Food Processing Building, NVSU, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. The activity was facilitated by Dr. Chery C. Lacaden and was participated by the staff and food processors of the project, with Prof. Ruby DG Elumbra, a member of the Cagayan Valley Food Safety Team and In-Charge of the Isabela State University-Food Innovation Center-Cauayan Campus as the key speaker.

The activity is needed to capacitate the food processors of the project to ensure the production and commercialization of Tilapia Cream Soup compliant to food standards. #

Tuloy-tuloy ang pagbibigay ng serbisyo ng NVSU sa pamamagitan ng Extension and Training Program at Mushroom Resources Research and Development Center para mabigyan ng alternatibo o dagdag na pagkakakitaan ang ating mga kababayan ngayong panahon ng pandemya.

Nagsagawa ng pagsasanay sa Oyster Mushroom Production ang NVSU noong Oktubre 12-13, 2020 sa Mushroom Laboratory. Ito ay dinaluhan ng 15 na kalahok. Sa pagsasanay na ito, tinalakay at nagkaroon ng demonstration at hands-on sa paggawa ng fruiting bag, pag-tissue culture ng planting spawn, at pagpupunla ng spawn sa fruiting bag.

At upang lalong mapahalagahan ng mga kalahok ang kanilang natutunan, ipinamigay ng training management team ang kanilang pinunluang fruiting bags upang pagbungahin sa kani-kanilang tahanan.

Inaanyayahan muli ang ating mga kababayan na daluhan ang huling session ng Training on Mushroom Production sa Oktubre 26-27, 2020.

Ang College of Agriculture at ang Extension and Training Program ay nagsagawa ng pagsasanay sa Meat Processing noong Oktubre 8, 2020 sa Agritech Laboratory.

May kabuuang bilang na 15 ang dumalo sa pagsasanay. Sa pamamagitan ng pagsasanay, natutunan ng mga participants ang principles of meat hygiene and sanitation, basic concepts and processes involved in meat processing, at importance of food safety.

Sa pagsasanay na ito ay nagkaroon ng demonstration at hands-on kung paano maghanda ng longganisa. Bukod dito, natutunan din ng mga participants kung paano makalkula ang mga gastos ng mga input at ang posibleng kita para sa naprosesong longganisa. #

Narito ang mga susunod na schedule:

Pwedeng ihanda o pagkakitaan! Halina't matuto ng iba't ibang paraan ng pag proseso ng karne sa darating na Setyembre 3 at 7, 2020 sa Agritech Food Processing, NVSU, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

August is indeed the Mushroom Month for NVSU.

The College of Forestry (CF) conducted a training on Low Cost Mushroom Production at Magapuy, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya last August 13-14, 2020, which was participated by farmers, women, and walk in clients from the Philippine National Police.

The participants did not only gain knowledge and skills on Oyster Mushroom production and processing but also benefited from the Seedling Dispersal Program (fruit trees, palm, native trees/naturalized trees) of the CF.
