Last night, December 20, 2024, the UEP-College of Law students and faculty, gathered to celebrate the Yuletide season. The celebration took place at UEP Centennial Hall featuring different activities and fun games enjoyed by both students and faculty.

The esteemed University President, Dr. Cherry I. Ultra, duly represented by Atty. Regine Ann Garcelazo, Vice President for Administration and Finance delivered a Christmas message emphasizing the significance of the event in the lives of all christans.

The university administration through the leadership of the university president continues to support student activities and acknowledges the importance of such events in the holistic development of all.

In addition, the UEP administration and the entire UEP academic community extend holiday greetings to all.

Earlier today, at the 1st Congressional District Office, Brgy. Daganas, Catarman, Northern Samar, the University of Eastern Philippines, led by the staunch University President, Dr. Cherry I. Ultra entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Tan Ting Bing Memorial Colleges Foundation, Inc. and Colegio de San Juan Samar.

Present in the signing of MOU are Dr. Cherry I. Ultra, UEP President; Dr. Nelia M. Adora, UEP VP External Affairs; Dr. Ronato S. Ballado, UEP VP Academic Affairs; Atty. Regine Ann Garcelazo, UEP VP Admin and Finance; Hon. Edwin Marino Ongchuan, Northern Samar Governor represented by Vice Governor Clarence Dato; Hon. Paul R. Daza, 1st District Congressman; Hon. Edito Saludaga, Lavezares Municipal Mayor; the Presidents from 2 academic institutions - Tan Ting Bing Memorial Colleges Foundation, Inc. and Colegio de San Juan Samar.

This signing of MOU is a step closer to fostering harmonious and collaborative relationships between higher education institutions in the province. The visionary leadership of Dr. Ultra remains steadfast in putting efforts to solidify partnerships between other external agencies and institutions for a better and brighter UEP.

In a meeting held on December 19, 2024 at the Office of the University President. Igor Chairperson, Mr. Carl Vincent Florano and party met with the esteemed University President, Dr. Cherry I. Ultra. The meeting discussed some important matters as regards the projects and initiatives of the Igor. The very supportive university president ensures the full support of the UEP administration to the Igor's function.

𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆 || 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙨𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨

Organized by the UEP administration, a Thanksgiving party was held at the University Gymnatorium on December 20, 2024. The said party was attended by UEP employees, staff, and partners.

During his opening remarks, Dr. Ronato S. Ballado ensured all attendees a spectacular party featuring exciting activities. Furthermore, the esteemed University President, Dr. Cherry I. Ultra, in her message extends holiday season greetings to all attendees. Dr. Ultra also announced that all qualified UEP employees will receive a Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) of 30,000 pesos and Service Recognition Incentives (SRI) amounting to 20,000 pesos and PEI worth of 5,000 pesos.

Furthermore, slides of the university's achievements and milestones were played to inform everyone of UEP's achievements this year which Dr. Ultra highlights to be a product of collective efforts and collaborations. During the event, the three (3) topnotchers of the recently concluded RTLE were recognized and were given 50,000 pesos cash incentives. The event also featured the awarding of loyalty awards to employees who rendered untiring service in the university. The University of Eastern Philippines awards 10,000 pesos cash incentives for 10 years of service and 5,000 pesos for another 5 years thereafter. In addition, cash incentives and certificates were also awarded to faculty-researchers with published research outputs as well as to UEP's top scientists.

Subsequently, UEP honored its external partners through awarding a certificate of appreciation to different external agencies which paved the way for the achievement of UEP functions. Some of these partners are: PGNS, Norsamelco, DTI-Catarman, PNP Northern Samar and Catarman, and other significant agencies.

The event also featured a series of performances from different units in a sing and dance performances. The University Administration, headed by the University President, Dr. Cherry I. Ultra together with the unit heads and selected non-teaching employees started the ball rolling with a dance performance. This was then followed by sing and dance performances from different academic units of the university. A raffle draw was also one of the event's highlights.

This Thanksgiving celebration aimed to celebrate the university's milestones and achievement this year which are all products of collaborations and unwavering efforts of the entire UEP academic community.

The UEP administration extends the warmest holiday greetings to all this Yuletide season.

The University of Eastern Philippines (UEP), the first state university in the Visayas and a trailblazer in offering the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (BSRT), celebrated a historic milestone in the December 2024 Radiologic Technologists Licensure Examination (RTLE). UEP produced three topnotchers, securing the 2nd, 8th, and 10th spots in the prestigious national examination.

𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒐𝒑𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔
Leading the charge is Ms. Istepanny Joice Inocentes Jipay, RRT, who clinched the 2nd place with an impressive rating of 92.60%. A Magna Cum Laude graduate and valedictorian of Batch Wolfram, Ms. Jipay’s academic excellence and determination have set a high bar for future UEPians.

In 8th place, Ms. Nicole Kate Loste Sy, RRT, achieved a rating of 91.40%, while Ms. Iahesa Mechaela Gomba Nirza, RRT, earned the 10th spot with a rating of 91.00%. Both Ms. Sy and Ms. Nirza graduated Cum Laude, reflecting their unwavering dedication and hard work.

𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝑾𝒐𝒍𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒎: 𝑨 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒄𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆
Batch Wolfram made waves in the RTLE with 60 successful examinees, achieving a remarkable 92.06% passing rate for first-time takers and an overall passing rate of 86.96%. Their journey, marked by resilience and perseverance, stands as a testament to their grit and determination to overcome challenges.

The College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS) has a rich tradition of excellence, consistently producing board passers and topnotchers. Previous BSRT topnotchers include Ms. Enreras (Top 2), Mr. Canastillo (Top 6), and Mr. Alba (Top 9) from Batch Fermium, as well as Ms. Tuballas (Top 8) from Batch Promethium. The achievements of the recent topnotchers further solidify CNAHS's reputation as a center of academic brilliance.

This consistent success is attributed to the dedicated mentorship of seasoned faculty members in the BSRT program, who go beyond teaching by fostering the holistic development of their students and guiding them toward professional excellence.
